A/N: Based on CP Coulter's wonderful Dalton. I just borrowed her characters for a bit.

Justin

Charlie was his friend. No, his best friend. Fact. Neither of them had many other close friends.

He loved Charlie. Fact. No matter how much he tried not to, he just couldn't stop.

Charlie was straight. Mostly. He knew Charlie was straight. It was just a fact of his life.

It would never work out. Open to interpretation. He just knew it wouldn't. They could never make a go of it.

His parents wanted him to find a girl. Fact. He couldn't imagine them agreeing to anything else.

His parents would not be happy about this. Fact. He knew they wouldn't like it. He wasn't sure just how far that dislike went though, whether or not they'd be able to accept it.

It would never happen

Charlie

Justin was his best friend. Fact. He was too busy with his Windors, and Justin had no other close friends.

He wanted more. Fact. It wasn't as if he was gay even, he just wanted Justin.

Justin was straight. Fiction. Justin was bi, though he'd never told Charlie that.

Justin would never like him back. Fiction. There was just no way that his straight friend would ever like him.

Justin's parents would never approve. Fact. He didn't know what to do about that. As if it were in any way relevant.

It would never happen.
