A/N- Okay, so I was at my friend's house this weekend, and her little sister was having trouble writing a poem in this one format. I tried to explain it to her, but it was hopeless, so I decided to write one as an example for her. And, as my mind tends to revolve around Twilight, that made it my poems theme. I really liked the poem when I was done, so I decided to post it, which brings us here. Enjoy! Oh, and please review!

Disclaimer: I am not Stephanie Meyer, and therefore do not own Twilight.

Their minds can tell no lies.

People walk through the streets,

Saying what they say.

Everyone believes them,

But I know the truth.

Their minds can tell no lies.

A woman is lost in the street.

A man offers his aid.

He says he can help her find the way,

But I know the truth.

Their minds can tell no lies.

The woman follows willingly,

But, to me, the man's intentions are clear.

He takes a "short-cut" through the alleyway,

But I know the truth.

Their minds can tell no lies.

I follow the two down the alley.

I rip his throat out before he can act.

The woman runs, thinking I'm the bad guy,

But I know the truth.

Their minds can tell no lies.

As I drain the killer of his blood,

I think of my attempts to play God.

I try to convince myself that the killings are justified,

But I know the truth:

I am a monster.
