Garnet Eyes
(Author's Note: Eeeep! Another pathetic attempt at a poem. Hopefully it won't be as sad as my LUNAR one. Anyhoo, the poem is in Yuffie's perspective on how she remembers Vincent ten years after AVALANCHE defeated Sephiroth.)
The sunset from Kalm tower,
How it reminds me of your eyes,
Their garnet colour, so beautiful,
On the day you left, oh, how I cried.
It's been ten long years since I last saw you,
But I can still remember your face,
And I will never forget it,
'Till I'm buried in a wooden case.
And now I'm left with nothing,
I'm cold, hungry and poor,
But if you were here with me,
I'd live behind another door.
Because if I only had your love,
I'd be richer than the richest man,
But I'll make it through without you,
I think, I'm sure, I know I can.
You're a ghost in the shadows,
A memory simply fading away,
Just like the evening sunset,
As I watch it on this gloomy day.
You're my one, my true, my only love,
Your lips, they taste like wine,
Oh, how I long to see you now,
My beloved Vincent Valentine.
