Betrayal
Peter Pettigrew knocked lightly on his master's door. Hearing a high-pitched "Come in," he entered. "So? What is your news, Wormtail, that you have come to me instead of telling Lucius or Rudolphus first?" Peter could feel red eyes burning on the back of his neck as he bowed.
"My Lord..." Peter's voice faltered for a moment, then regained strength. "The Potters have made me their Secret-Keeper." He bit his lip and hoped he wouldn't say anything stupid.
Peter could hear the vicious excitement when his master spoke again. "Where are they, Peter? Tell me."
He swallowed hard, then spoke. "The Potters... they are in Godric's Hollow, my Lord."
As he finished his sentence, a wave of light and energy swept through the room, ruffling the curtains over the window and both men's robes.
Many miles away, in Godric's Hollow, James Potter looked up from the book he was reading with a jolt.
His wife, Lily, glanced curiously at him. "What's wrong?"
"Peter told." The words rang through the room like the death sentence they were. "Peter told Voldemort."
As Voldemort Disapparated, Peter realized what he had done. He had killed two of his best friends and their son. And as Voldemort ran up the Potters' front walk, Peter sank onto the floor, sobbing.
 I did my take onwhat happened after Voldie's attack in Broken Trust, now I'm doing my take on what happened before with this. And someone besides Siri finally gets some angstyness.
Sirius: WOOHOO!
Heh. No James or Remus angstyness yet (okay, so a little of both in Full Moon, but that doesn't count). Siri, do the disclaimer.
Sirius: She doesn't own any of it except her idea of what the Fidelius Charm being broken was like. And why do I have to do the disclaimer?
 I'll get James or Remus or somebody to do it next time.
Sirius: Good.
