"There you are Sora," came a voice. It was Riku's.

Sora was sitting on the beach, watching the ocean. Riku sat down next to him.

"I thought you would've been with Kairi, Riku said.

"Don't you ever shut up?" Sora asked.

"Well, not if I'm talking to a friend. God. I don't know what your problem is lately, but you need to fix it. Kairi isn't very happy now. Good attitude equals Kairi." Riku walked away. Sora looked back to the ocean.

"Sora&"

"Kairi!" exclaimed Sora.

He jumped up. Surprised to see her.

"I didn't hear you come down here."

"I guess you wouldn't if you weren't suppose to."

They sat down. "I'm really sorry that I've been a real jerk lately," Sora said after an uncomfortable silence.

"Oh. I'm glad you're still talking to me. I was wondering if you were."

"Would you like to go for a swim?" Sora asked, changing the subject.

Kairi nodded.

They went into the water. Sora saw a black hole. He swam deeper into the water.

"Come on Kairi!" he called to Kairi.

Kairi was getting closer to the dark hole. She was almost there. Then Riku yelled from shore,

"Yo Kairi! Come here!" Kairi started to turn back.

"Wait Kairi! I-I-I need you. Maleficent! Destroy him!" Sora yelled.

Maleficent appeared. "As you wish." She flew over the ocean. Sora saw that she was shooting fire out of her staff. He also saw that Kairi was in the way of the fire.

"Kairi! Get down!" he yelled.

Kairi turned and looked at him. She could see that he was trying to say something to her, but she couldn't understand. A shadow fell over Kairi. She looked up. Maleficent was floating above her.

"Goodbye Oathkeeper."

As Maleficent started to shoot fire around Kairi, a figure flew over her. The figure crashed into Maleficent.

"Aaahhh!"

Maleficent fell into the water. She then disappeared. The figure picked up Kairi and flew to shore. Sora swam as fast as he could. He finally made it to shore.

"Kairi! Are you okay?" he gasped.

Kairi nodded. Sora turned to the figure that saved Kairi.

"You- You-&" Sora couldn't find words to express his gratitude.

"Hey nice to see you too, Sora."

"Cloud!" exclaimed Sora.

He bowed to Cloud.

"Kairi. Are you okay?" Riku asked.

"Yes. But why is she back? Sora?" Kairi said.

"Hm. What!? If your talking about Maleficent, I don't know what that was all about," Sora said.

"Master!" came a high-pitched, squeaky voice.

Everyone turned. There were two Heartless. They walked up to Sora.

"Master. She told us to get you," one said.

"Um. Excuse me?" Sora said nervously, looking at his friends.

"You know. Maleficent. She would like you to meet her for some cause you didn't finish," the one said, looking at Kairi.

"What?! You're involved with the Heartless? What kind of heart do you have? Especially if you care for Kairi," said Riku.

"But it's all your fault. Ever since you grew up, Kairi has liked you! She told me so! I hate you!!" screamed Sora.

"God! Why are you arguing over who I like? I like both of you as friends. And I do like someone you both know. I'm really ashamed of you guys. God. Why can't I have normal friends like back home," Kairi said, depressingly. She walked away to hers and Sora's secret place.

After awhile, they heard a scream. Sora ran to the Secret Place. But Riku caught up with him.

"Don't bother going in. It's all your fault." Riku ran in.

With Cloud and Sora right behind him. When they got in there, no one was there.

"It's about time you got here. Their gone by now."

Everyone turned to the area in which the voice was coming from. Out of the shadows stepped Leon and Yuffie.

"What did you do with her?" asked Riku.

"What makes you think we took her? Well. I know you don't like to play games when someone you care for is in danger," said Leon, laughing.

"You stupid-" Riku yelled, but was interrupted by Leon.

"No need for foul language."

"What he wants to say is that Maleficent took the girl and left. If we got here sooner, we might have been able to stop her. Leon tried to attack Maleficent, but he only got a piece of her cape," Yuffie said, holding up a piece of cape.

"Maleficent!" muttered Sora.

Riku ran out of the Secret Place. Sora ran after him.

"Riku!" Outside, Riku was looking around for any sign of Maleficent or Kairi.

"Leon said they won't be here," Sora said.

"Well at least I can have some kind of hope. I seem to be the only one that does," Riku said, looking at the sky. Then he turned to Sora. "You know what? This is all your fault! You got involved with the Heartless. I hope we never find her!"

"Don't say that! It's not my fault. It's-It's-It's King Mickey and those peoples fault. If they had never found a note or anything. We would of been in Traverse Town or gone," explained Sora.

"Don't try to switch the blame to someone else. It's all your fault. You are the guilty one. And I'll kill you for that!" yelled Riku.

He lunged at Sora. Being Sora didn't know what he was going to do, they both fell to the ground. Riku threw wild punches at Sora. He defended himself. But he knew he wouldn't get anywhere by just defending himself, so he threw punches, too. They were fighting for what seemed like forever, when someone grabbed them each by the shirt.

"Guys. We're not going to save her by fighting. Cloud. Leon. Teach them a lesson about having hope. I'm going to look for clues," said Yuffie.

Leon took Sora and brought him to one half of the island. Cloud took Riku to the other side. Leon carried Sora to the ocean and threw him in.

"And don't come out till you figure out why you're in there," said Leon.

Sora got up and started to walk out of the ocean. Before he could get to far, Leon pushed him back in. Sora looked to where Riku and Cloud were sitting. Sora saw Riku get up and walk away. Sora also got up and walked away. Cloud and Leon watched them. When Sora came back, he had a big key in his hand.

"Leon. There is only one way I can save Kairi. I have to destroy my feelings for her," Sora said.

He went on and on about why he had the big key. Leon tried to tell him that he doesn't have to destroy his feelings for her. But Sora didn't know that there were other ways to help Kairi. He was brainwashed by Maleficent to do her biding. Leon took the giant key out of Sora's hands and threw it to the ground. He then drew his Gunblade and pointed it at Sora.

"Be gone Heartless! His heart is stronger!"

A force field surrounded Sora.

"Kairi!" he yelled.

The force field was gone. Sora fell to the ground. All his energy drained from him. Sora looked at Leon.

"I saw her. She was happy. But she was little. I know what Maleficent is doing! We have to save Kairi!"

Leon looked at Sora in amazement. Then his face turned had a smile on it.

"What?" Sora asked.

"Oh. Nothing. I just remembered something she said when I saw last year," explained Leon.

Just then a flying rock (for that is what Sora thought it was) crashed onto the beach. Sora ran to the rock thing. He saw Riku running also. He ran faster. By the time they both got there, two people were outside. One looked like Kairi, except older.

"Excuse me. Is there someone by the name Sora here?" the Kairi like asked.

"Who wants to know?" Sora asked.

"Well. If he's not here, we need to leave. If he is here, he can help us," the man said.

"Well I'm Sora. Who are you?"

"We're Kairi's parents. Where is she?" the Kairi like said.

"Well for one thing you are NOT Kairi's parents. I've seen them before. Now. Who are you?" Sora said.

"Oh well. He can't defeat us. I'm Ganondorf. From a whole different world. And this is Maleficent," the man said.

"Why are you looking for Kairi?" asked Sora.

"Well let's see. Oh right. These three kids barged into my castle. They took her. My people managed to capture one of them," Ganondorf explained.

"Would this happen to be the prisoner?" Riku was holding a girl.

"Give her back!" yelled Ganondorf.

"No. Not until you give us Kairi," Riku bargained.

He ran to the tree house. Ganondorf and Maleficent tried to follow, but Sora, Cloud, Leon, and Yuffie blocked their path.

"Get off the island," Cloud said.

He drew his sword. Leon drew his Gunblade. Yuffie took out her ninja stars. Sora drew his big key, which was a Keyblade.

"What? You still have that? I thought you would've destroyed it," Maleficent said.

"I would've. But- Hey you're just trying to buy time! Get away from my island and NEVER come back!! Or you won't make it off the island!" yelled Sora.

He was really mad. Maleficent didn't want to stick around him to see if he could beat her a second time. So she and Ganondorf vanished.

"Um. Cloud! We have a problem!" yelled Riku from the tree house. Everyone ran to the tree house.

"What's wrong?" Cloud asked.

"Where am I?" the girl asked.

"You're on Destiny Islands. Who are you?" said Sora.

"Sora. Don't be so blunt," Riku said.

"So you're Sora?" the girl asked.

"Uh-hu."

"Oh man. Wait till my friends hear about this. Do you know a girl, about your age? Named Kairi," the girl said.

"Where is she?" growled Riku.

"She was right. I would know that you are Riku because you are over protective. Anyways. She's fine. She's with my friends. Link and Saria. And Sora. She told me that if I see you to tell you to read this note in the Secret Place. And to tell you not to be afraid. And to hide the key," the girl said.

She handed Sora a note. Sora then walked away. "So¼ What's your name?" Leon asked.

"I'm Zelda of Hyrule. And you three?" the girl said.

"I'm Yuffie. This Leon and Cloud," Yuffie said.

Just then they heard a scream like call, coming from the Secret Place. Riku ran to the Secret Place.

"Sora. Are you okay?" Riku asked as he ran in.

"I was right. They are going for Kairi's world!" Sora ran passed Riku and went straight to the ocean. He started to swim out. "Sora! Wait! We have the Gummi Ship!" yelled Riku.

Sora started to turn back, but he could go no further. He wasted all his energy from running and swimming. He started to sink. He heard splashes. Sora opened his eyes. He was still under water. But he saw Kairi watching him. He tried to reach her. But she was too far away. He slowly watched her slip away. He passed out as he felt hands pulling him.
