Victoria Potter and Hermione Granger decided to go back to Hogwarts to finish their seventh year. Ron decided to go straight to the Auror Academy. That was a huge point of contention between the golden trio. Ron had been pressuring Hermione to give up her virginity which Hermione told him no. Cormac had done the same to Victoria.
It was October when things changed. Ron went public with his fiance, one of the cheerleaders for the Chudley Cannons. "Nina Completes Me and Satisfies Me, Unlike Granger"
That was when Hermione learned Molly had encouraged the affair because Hermione was not "satisfying" Ron. Ginny was bullshit with her mother and brother and sent him a howler. Victoria had been there for Hermione. Her relationship with Cormac wasn't better. She saw Cormac on the society section with two scantily clad bimbos. Victoria sent Cormac a howler.
"CORMAC, WE ARE THROUGH! IF YOU THINK I AM GOING TO LET YOU TOUCH ME AFTER BEING SEEN WITH TWO BLOODY SLAGS, YOU HAVE ANOTHER THING COMING! DON'T CONTACT ME AGAIN ARSEHOLE!"
Since Cormac has yet to move out of his parents' home, she timed for breakfast at the McLaggens.
Victoria now had the quidditch season to contend with. It proved to be a good distraction that came with a chance of a lifetime. That chance was to get out of Britain and play quidditch for the Phoenix Gila Monsters in Arizona. Ginny was honestly ready for a change. She was drafted onto the Boston Rebels. To be free of her smothering brothers has been a long time goal of hers. Ginny did not want to settle down and become a plump house witch after graduation. That had been the source of many fights between Ginny and Molly.
Hermione had a chance of a lifetime too in the United States. It would be at the American University of Magic in Washington D.C. They only took the best and brightest in the world.
It was sweet justice when Ron was being ripped apart by the press for his action. There had been calls for his expulsion from the Auror corps because of the morality clause in their contracts.
Ginny had a surprise owl from her father and almost fainted. "Dad is divorcing Mom. That's rare in the wizarding world."
Victoria was confused. "They had acted like the perfect couple…"
"That's just it. It was an act. Their marriage had been on the rocks for a long time. I think Mom had plans for you to marry one of my brothers, Tori. Things went from bad from worse when Fred was killed. It is why I have yet to go home for a school break. The tension in that house is torture. Mom was helping Ron cover up his cheating. I know my mother acts like she likes muggleborns but it is an act. Hermione, my mother is a pureblood supremacist. She just does not wish them death. She just doesn't want them intermarrying."
Hermione hugged Ginny because she is like the little sister she could have dreamed of. "Are you going to be okay?"
"Yes, and it will be even better because dad will be able to disown Ron, formally. The entitled brat has had it coming for years. Victoria, how come you have been silent from the fallout from Cormac."
"Remember when I went to the Three Broomsticks a few weeks ago, alone for lunch. It was to speak to Cormac's parents. Matilda and Richard were disgusted with their son. Richard questioned Cormac for hours under vertiserium and found out Cormac has been cheating on me for since Slughorn's Christmas Party. He was using me for my fame. Cormac has been forced to move out as well as attend John School from the Aurors. You know, when you get arrested by the Aurors for soliciting prostitutes."
Hermione and Ginny were laughing so hard their ribs hurt. That was the perfect punishment for the arsehole.
Graduation came and went. Hermione graduated as valedictorian. The surprise was Victoria had been able to move up into the top ten of their class. Ron really had held her back. Arthur came, along with Bill, Fleur, Charlie, Percy, and George. Andromeda sent Victoria a howler when she planned on skipping graduation. She was there with little Teddy Lupin. Andromeda had seen the house that Victoria purchased. It had a huge guest suite. She would bring Teddy out during the winter when things would get too cold and too dreary in England for a holiday.
That summer was the best summer Victoria had in a long time. She settled into her new house which was connected to the floo network.
When she reported in for pre-season training, she was in for a surprise. That surprise was in the form of Marcus Flint. Victoria planned on pretending she did not know the arsehole and only associate with him in terms of quidditch. However, luck was not on Victoria's side.
"You were going to ignore me if it is not quidditch related, weren't you Potter? Don't worry, I am not a mind rapist like Snape and I was not a death eater."
"Flint, shall I pretend you were not a fucking arsehole and a bully during school? I thought a ponce like you would have been playing for the English league."
The other members of the Gila monsters were snickering. "Flint, I know you went to the same school as Potter. What did you do to her?"
Marcus' cheeks turned red because he knew wasn't a choir boy at Hogwarts. "I may have picked on her."
Victoria glared at him. "May have, Marcus"
"Alright, I was a fucking bully at school."
The witch came forward. "I am Ashley White. I am one of the chasers. You finally break up the testosterone fest around here."
"Victoria and how bad is it?"
"Enough to drive a witch to drink after practice."
"Ashley, love, we wizards are not that bad."
"Yes, you are. So Victoria, is it true you can do a perfect vertical dive and pull out of it within less than five seconds?"
"I can. I may drive the beaters crazy."
Marcus cleared his throat. "How about you will drive the beaters crazy and the coaches too."
The former Slytherin received a glare from Potter. He was going to ensure that Potter does not ignore his existence away from the pitch.
