"Seth, Ryan, could you please come into the kitchen? We have a visitor!" Kirsten yelled to her two sons. Seth walked into the kitchen, but Ryan stopped short. Standing in the kitchen was Ryan's ex-girlfriend, Theresa. In her arms, was a baby, no older than a few weeks. "Whoa," Seth said. "I'm really confused." Ryan glanced at Seth, Sandy and Kirsten. "Um, we'll let you two catch up." Sandy said, ushering Seth and Kirsten out into the living room. "Theresa, what are you doing here?" Ryan asked, leaning against the counter. "I wanted you to meet your daughter, Katrina." Theresa said, holding the baby out towards him. "Our daughter? Wait, a minute, you told me that you lost the baby." Theresa looked down. "I lied to you. I could not stand it anymore. You were so miserable being with me. I had to say something so you could come back here." Ryan stood speechless. "Okay, then why are you here?"
"I'm leaving, Ryan. I cannot take care of a child. I'm going to live with my mom in New Mexico. I brought her here, so you could take care of her. After all, you are her father." Theresa explained. "Theresa!" Ryan exploded. "You think I can take care of a child? I'm only seventeen, I have to go to school. I'm not even considered an adult yet!" Katrina started to cry at the sound of Ryan's booming voice. "Shh, please don't cry. Mommy's here." Theresa whispered. She looked up. "Here, Ryan. I'm sorry. I have to go." She handed the crying baby to Ryan, and walked out. "Kirsten! Sandy! Seth!" He called to the eavesdropping threesome. Seth was shocked when he walked in, and saw Theresa gone, and Ryan holding a baby. "Um ,meet my daughter Katrina. Now, how do you make her stop crying?" Kirsten smiled, and ran over. "Sh, it's okay Katrina." she murmered to the baby. "We are going to have to go shopping." She said. Ryan looked at her. "I cannot take care of baby." Sandy nodded in agreement. "YOU can't." Kirsten said. "But WE can."
