Thirty Years Later...

It was like he was the only one in the world...I saw no one else. Only him.

Bianca's POV

There had been myths and legends of a family that lived here. They were vampires, them and a few wolves had to team up to protect a young child with the looks of an eight year old. My mother used to read me that story every night, so that I would fall asleep in her arms hoping one day I could meet the vampires and wolves in the story. I dream about that even now, ten years later when I'm sixteen. Then again I also dreamed that when I moved to Forks, I would have a lot of friends. I only have two. Their names are Isaac, and Vanessa. They became my friends when I moved here two years ago and I was being bullied, Isaac had stood up for me while his twin (Vanessa) helped me get back up after being pushed down. They have been my friends ever since then. I guess it is cool to be friends with them, as they are the two most popular kids at school. Everyone loves them, teachers, boys, other girls. All of them think they are the Lord almighty in twin form but to me they are just Isaac and Vanessa.

"Okay, so our house after school?" Isaac was saying as he took a seat beside me. Vanessa didn't have this class with me, but I had every class with Isaac. It took me a moment to remember what we had been talking about as the P.E. teacher took attendance.

"For the English project?" I asked for more clarity and he nodded, "Yeah, my house looks like crap right now. I have to clean it." I went to the same excuse I always used, though that wasn't the only reason.

He laughed, "Well, great. After this torture is over, our father will be picking the three of us up."

"Okee Dokee." I said with a smile. I loved talking and I hated being at school where I couldn't even talk much. Of course, P.E. was my favorite because I could talk all I want to after the teacher is done. Usually I hummed, as I was doing now silent enough that Mrs James wouldn't be able to hear me. I just finished tying my shoes when Mrs James spoke.

"Class, listen up! I only want a minute of your time. Today, since it's a short period, we will have open gym! Do as you want but if I see any foul behavior, there will be consequences." She paused and realizing no one had moved she added, "Go!"

The gym was huge, with five sleek basketball court lined side by side, and tall walls that reached at least the length of one and a half football fields. At least fourteen basketball hoops lining the courts and a large section from each basketball hoop to the wall for running. High on the walls were windows that brightened up the place and sets of bleachers with five rows each. This was my favorite room in the school because my class was small so we had space to run around or read in a corner or each just watch from the high up balcony overlooking the gym.

Isaac helped me to my feet and we did what we always did. I got to the basketballs first and dumped the whole bag out for everyone, grabbing one for myself. I made eye contact with Isaac and noticing he stood right under the basketball hoop on the other side of the room, I shot and watched as it landed and went through the basket with no problem. It bonked him on the head and he shot a glare at me, though I knew he wasn't really mad.

I ran to him and he moved before tossing the ball up so I could dunk it into the hoop. I wasn't particularly tall, as a matter of fact I was only five feet three inches. I was strong and had been playing basketball since I would walk.

"And she scores!" Isaac announced loudly making me laugh. I hoped on the second row of bleachers and did my ridiculous dance. Isaac shrugged and joined me, I jumped and spun landing with grace on the third row. He grinned and offered me his hand when the dance was done. First I curtsied to my classmates who were clapping then I placed my hand in his and leapt down so that we were on the same level. Isaac's hand rested on my waist and I looked up at him. Before today I had never noticed his striking green eyes and perfectly messy brown hair, I also hadn't noticed that he was like five inches taller than me.

He wore a loose basketball jersey and shorts with running shoes. His good looks made me self-conscious of how I looked with long wavy black hair, sea-green eyes, and tanned skin. I was wearing my black leggings with a burgundy tank top and my red converses.

I cleared my throat and turned away to jump to the ground. He delayed for a moment before following me back to the basketball hoop. I grabbed the ball and briskly shot a three-pointer.

"Sorry." He said making me miss the next shot. I hadn't missed a shot in nine years.

I looked at him, my head cocked to the side, "For what? You were just cheering me on."

"Never mind." He said anxiously, fidgeting with his hands.

"Okay. Heads up." I threw the ball at him and was still amazed at how fast he moved to catch the ball. My thing was basketball and his was running. I had known he was a runner from the moment I met him; I never challenged him to a race because no matter how fast I was, I wasn't as fast as him.

We laughed and played basketball for thirty minutes until Mrs James told us to get changed. I met him by the doors and laughed as he winked at a passing girl, "You are such a dork!" I smacked his arm and it was his turn to laugh.

The bell rang and we both bolted out the door and up the stairs to our lockers. Vanessa was already at hers, shoving her notebooks into her bag angrily. Isaac and I looked at each other before running up to her, "V, what's wrong?" Isaac asked her, bending down to be at eye level with his sister.

She paused for a moment then answered, "Killian was being a dick."

Isaac's face went hard and his voice was strained, "What did he say?"

"He told everyone that I had sex with him." Vanessa wiped her nose on her sleeve and I envied how beautiful she looked even as she cried. Her long red hair was pulled into a ponytail and her eyes were a vibrant green. She had red freckles dotting her pale skin, and her body was so slender.

"Tell me where he is. I'll kick his ass." I spoke up and she laughed.

"While I would love to see that, he is just a worthless dumbass and doesn't deserved to be acknowledged."

"True, but hey, on the bright side Bianca is coming over to our house!" Isaac exclaimed, draping his arm over my shoulders as the three of us stood.

Vanessa's eyes flashed to Isaac than back to me, "Why can't we go over to her house?" She asked, surprising me. At first I thought she was joking but then I remembered, she had never seen my house so she didn't know in what conditions I lived. I had only see a picture of their house and it was gorgeous. No way was I going to let them come over to my house. Risk having my drunken father hurt me in front of them? Hell no! Instinctively I started rubbing my arm where a bruise was hidden under the fabric.

"Not happening." I put my hands up and took a step back.

"Okay, fine. Sounds good. How was P.E.?" She asked and I quickly turned to my locker and opened it. I knew I was avoiding the question but all I could think about was being close to Isaac again.

I could feel Isaac turn to his locker as well and nervously answer, "It was fine."

A smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I grabbed my bag out of the locker and heard Vanessa say, "Oh, I see. Well, do you want me to give you guys some privacy when we get home?" She made her eyebrows dance and I felt my cheeks burn.

"Nah, although we don't want distractions while working on our project so you need to make sure Seth and our parents don't interfere. Do you think you are up to the mission?" Isaac and I closed our lockers and we started to walk out the front doors of the school. I sucked in a breath of fresh air and laughed as Vanessa gave her brother a mock salut. The cool air made me feel at home and my thoughts trailed to my mom thankfully Isaac placed a hand on my shoulder, bringing me back to reality.

"Come on Bianca!" Vanessa dragged me to a sleek black SUV and I slid into the back seat behind Vanessa. Isaac got in after me and closed the door.

"Oh yeah. Hey Dad! Can Bianca come over?" Isaac asked and I realized why I was the second one in the car. They wanted to make sure Jacob Black would say yes.

"You guys are a pain in my ass." Jacob turned in his seat to face his two kids as they each gave him puppy dog eyes. I could tell Jacob had been won over, "Fine, shit. Your mother will kill me for not asking her first but I will win her over." He turned back around. Isaac grinned at me while Vanessa stared out the window. Isaac and I were playing several games of rock paper scissors when the car finally stopped with me as the victor.

"Ha! I won, twenty to zero!" I bragged as we all got out of the car. My laughing was cut short when I saw a woman standing in front of the door, she gave Jacob a quick kiss before scolding him. I was in shock as I examined her, no way was she old than seventeen. It didn't take me long to realize she was definitely Isaac and Vanessa's mother, the girl had elbow-length auburn curls and deep brown eyes. Her skin was slightly pale, her nose dotted with freckles and her cheeks red. She had flour covering her loose red dress and her face.

"Jacob, you are a damn pushover!" The girl was saying as she smacked Jacob's arm with a washcloth. She then slung the washcloth over her shoulder and held her hand out to me when I was close enough to shake, "You must be Bianca. It's a pleasure to meet you, you may call me Renesmee."

I shook her hand like a robot, "Yeah, I'm Bianca Curry. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" I couldn't stop the question from coming and I flinched expecting them to get offended. Instead, she laughed.

"Oh right, silly me. I am thirty-one years old." My jaw dropped the moment she had said it and it only made her, Jacob, and my two friends laugh harder, "I know, I know. I don't at all look my age but it's true! Come on in, Bianca, Oh by the way Seth is inside." She looked at Jacob when she commented on Seth and I was filled with instant curiosity. I felt compelled to go inside and meet him.

Isaac grabbed my hand when I hadn't said anything and pulled me inside passed his sister and his parents. I was ready to resist the urge to meet Seth and go up to Isaac's room but of course fate won. I yelped as I crashed into a strong and very bare chest. Seth, I was going to assume, "So you must be S-?" I was about to say his name when I looked into his eyes. Suddenly everything around me fell away, this felt different than anything I had ever felt before. Within a few moments, I had given my heart and soul to Seth and I didn't want them back. I had fallen for him in a few seconds and I did not regret it one bit. He had messy black hair and chocolate eyes, and thankfully looked to be about my age.

"Yeah, I'm Seth and you are?" He was grinning at me and my heart sped up to about five times faster than normal.

"Bianca." I managed to stuttered and I realized he looked about as dumbfounded as I probably did right now. No words put together could explain how I was feeling. At the time I didn't even know (of course I do now). The only feeling I could distinguish was Love but how could that be if I had only met him a minute ago. Isaac grabbed my hand and dragged me away from Seth though it didn't help as Seth and I stared at each other until I could no longer see him.

"Bianca!" Isaac was snapping his fingers in my line of sight as I daydreamed and my head jerked up to him then I started writing on the piece of paper before growling and crumbling it and tossing the paper into the trash bin. He asked me something but his words were like a foreign language. A part of our project was writing a poem but I vouched for Isaac to do that because any poems I came up with were about Seth.

"Can we go get a snack?" I asked, already sitting up from where I laid on his bed. I saw his eyes flash to meet mine from beside me on the bed. My leg over lapped his as we had always sat on the floor in the back of the library.

After a long moment he nodded and I was filled with hope that Seth was still down stairs. We got off the bed and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, then led me down the staircase. I saw Seth sitting on the couch with Vanessa beside him but upon seeing me she got up and left the room. She dragged Isaac with her after giving me a thumbs up.

I blushed before gathering my courage and plopping onto the couch beside Seth, "God, I'm so tired." I leaned against his shoulder and closed my eyes. Feeling his arm around me as I rested my eyes was amazing.

"So, you and Isaac?" He asked abruptly making me freeze. My amusement showed as he twitched and fidgeted with his hands nervously.

I waited a moment before answering, "No, no. Vanessa, Isaac, and I are friends. Nothing more." I laughed at the relief flooding from Seth. It was strange how fast I was suddenly comfortable with Seth, like I could tell him all of my secrets.

"That's good. I hope this isn't strange but would you like to go out at some point?" He sounded nervous and a part of me wanted to laugh at the word strange. Everything about meeting Seth had been strange. Everything with Isaac was strange. Flat out everything was strange.

"I would love to." I giggled and felt the heat rushing to my cheeks. He held me in his arms and I thought about how I was technically cuddling with a complete stranger. He just felt safe and it felt right to be near him.
