If you think about love causes alot of trouble in the real world. Such as getting in trouble for having a boyfriend when your parents said "Not until your 14 young lady." or getting in trouble for having your girlfriend over and her parents say " Not until you 21!". Same thing applys in the world of fiction in Fuedal Japan but believe me its a little worse, they have swords and magic there.
