Barry's POV
My name is Barry Allen, and I am the fastest man alive. To the outside world, I am an ordinary forensic scientist. But secretly, with the help of my friends at STAR Labs, I fight crime and find other metahumans like me. I am, The Flash.
Caitlin, Cisco, and I were getting a coffee at C.C Jitters before going over to STAR Labs. I looked up to the menu to see a new drink. "Cisco! Your famous!" I joke.
He looks over at the board and smiles, "Well, it's about time!" he said. Jitters just added The Vibe, as a drink option. I have my own drink too, it's pretty cool. We walk up to the counter and order two Flashes, four chocolate croissants, and a Vibe to go. Of course I got the Flash drink, it's ironic and it has the most caffeine. The four croissants are also mine, I have to eat about ten-thousand calories a day just to sustain myself.
We got our coffees and walked out. It was a beautiful day, there was a slight breeze and not a cloud in sight. Even though I could be at STAR Labs in just a few seconds, I wanted to enjoy this day and go on a walk with my friends. Sometimes it's nice to take things slow, especially when everything else in your life is constantly moving. Though, our peace didn't last very long. We were only a few minutes away from the Lab when Cisco's phone started to buzz.
"We got a hit, apparently there's a girl and boy destroying 5th Avenue." That was my cue to run. I gave a quick nod and sped off to get my suit. Running is always such a rush, when you're going as fast as I am, it almost feels like you're flying. I was at 5th Avenue in record time, it only took about ten seconds for me to get my suit and get over there. Cisco was right. It was utter chaos, I heard screams and growls, possibly gun shots. The weirdest thing was the wall of water coming straight for me.
Percy's POV
It's not an overstatement when I say I hate Hera, of course I would never say it out loud. Hera would probably smite me if I ever said something like that. She has messed with my life for so long, in so many ways, such as wiping my memory, putting me to sleep for eight months, then waking me up in California with no idea who I was or where I was. All I knew was that I needed to get back to a girl named Annabeth. So I did, I went on a quest to save Death, and I got her back.
Though of course we could not stay in peace for at least a little while. No, we had to go save the world from Gaea, Mother Earth. On that quest, Annabeth and I fell into Tartarus with each other, the deepest part of hell for the worst monsters. We actually met Tartarus in person as we were trying to escape. It's fine now, Annabeth and I are back in the real world, though we lost some friends on our way out. We still have awful flashbacks and dreams of that place, so Annabeth and I try to stick together. If one has a bad dream or slips into a flashback, only the other can wake them up. Annabeth, Nico, and I are the only ones who have ever fallen into Tartarus and gotten out alive. Honestly, not many half-bloods have gone to highest part of hell and come back.
Oh, that's what I am by the way, a half-blood or a demigod. Half human, and half god. There are two camps that are designed to keep us in and monsters out. We can leave, we just need permission from Chiron, our camp director. Though, the real world is a dangerous place for us demigods, monsters are always trying to seek us out and kill us. Some kids at camp never leave, some go to school and come back in the summer.
I'm a kid that goes to school. If I didn't, my mom wouldn't let me have my blue candy. I need my blue candy, so I leave camp. Currently, I'm leaving after a long day of stupid classes. Annabeth is supposed to meet me for a movie, so at least I had that to look forward to.
"Hey, Seaweed Brain. You ready?" She called to me from the bottom of the steps. My face lit up, it always does when I see her, giving Annabeth the perfect thing to tease me about.
"Of course I am, Wise Girl. Let's blow this joint." I offered her my hand. She rolled her eyes, but took it anyway. I did my taxi whistle, apparently it's very loud, because three cabs stopped for us. Annabeth and I got into one and we sped off towards the movie theater.
As soon as we got out of the car, cow poop appeared under Annabeth's foot, making her step in it. "HERA!" she yelled. Getting the attention of the mortals around us. They must have thought we were crazy.
"Wise Girl, people are staring, let's keep moving." She looked around and started to run over to the movie theater, embarrassed by the scene she had just made. Suddenly her foot started to glow golden light. The shimmering moved up her body at an alarming rate. "Annabeth?"
"Percy! What's happening!" I ran over to her, not knowing what to do I just grabbed her hand. The golden glow now started to move over me too, covering my fingers, then my hand, then my arm, until we were both covered in the stuff. Our feet lifted off of the ground, we started spinning very fast. Suddenly it stopped, we weren't glowing anymore, but were falling through the air. Luckily I sensed water nearby, I thrust my arm up, making the water obey me. Water came rushing toward us, catching us as we fell. I set us down at the edge of the pond.
"What in the Hades just happened!" I asked Annabeth.
"I think- I think the Queen of the gods just teleported us somewhere." She responded looking around. "We have got to find out where we are, come on." I have to admit, I have never been teleported before, so I ran over to a bush and threw up. "Seriously Percy? You can hold it in when we are outnumbered and fighting a monster army, but not after a teleportation?" She laughed at me.
"Ha ha, very funny." I said raising my head out of the bushes. Suddenly, she made a weird face, grabbed her stomach and ran off to go throw up. "Who's laughing now?" I called after her.
"I am," said a voice behind me. I turned around to see someone coming out of the shadows. A man in a dark cloak appeared before us, he was holding something too, it looked like a lightning bolt? He seemed human, though I couldn't see any of his facial features under the cloaks hood. I did not know what else to do, so I grabbed Annabeth and we ran.
I hope you enjoyed my new combination of words. Some shit is about to go down later, so strap yourself in. Be prepared for a mediocre fight scene next chapter. Creative criticism is encouraged. I want to make this story as accurate as possible. See ya'lls later.
