A/ N- This is my rather weak attempt at humour. I apologise if any of my Star Wars references are off, it's been a long time.

Disclaimer- I own nothing.

It was an ordinary Saturday morning in the Briscott household. Hugh Briscott, who was precisely nine and five-twelvths years old, got up and yawned.

He trudged over to his kitchen to make his own breakfast, as his parents always left for work early on Saturdays and he was an only child. He poured a generic brand of cereal into his bowl, added milk (being very careful to create the perfect milk-cereal ratio, of course), forgot the spoon (as usual), turned on the Saturday morning cartoons, and got comfy on his sofa. He reached for his bowl of cereal and was about to take a bite when he realized he had no spoon.

So, like most small children would do in such a situation, he tried to use the force. The only difference between him and most small children was this time, it worked.

The spoon flew into his hand, and Hugh stared at it with huge eyes full of amazement and wonder.

"I'm a Jedi!" he whispered in awe.

Two years later...

When Hugh woke up one morning to find a strange old man knocking at his door, he wasn't in the least bit surprised.

"I know why you're here!" Hugh practically sang with excitement. "Don't worry, I've kept it secret! Other people would probably freak if they knew. And I've gotten better at controlling it! Can we go blow up the Death Star now?"

The old man simply stared down at him, a strange twinkle in his bright blue eyes.

"Today, afraid am I, come I other news bearing. Your parents I must speak to, they are where?" The strange man said all this with a stange half smile that Hugh didn't understand.

"What do you mean? I'm a Jedi, right?" Hugh asked.

"I'm afraid not", the old man smiled. "You are, however, a wizard."

"Just a wizard?" Hugh asked, disappointed. "Awww... Dang it!"

A/N- This story is one of my 'diamonds in the rough'- a story I felt could be awesome, but just didn't come out right. I didn't quite like how I wrote this one, I might edit it later if I ever have the time and ideas. But for now, I decided to post this on here. If anyone has any writing tips for me, I'm all ears :) Reviews are, of course, greatly appreciated.
