Elliot has faced rapists, child molesters, pedophiles, and many other sick things; there is one thing he will never be able to face: giving his daughter away at her wedding.
Elliot looked on as Maureen and her fiancé, Michael, dance in the living room. She had a huge smile on her face and laughed as he spun her. Elliot's face fell when he remembered how she used to laugh when he would do that to her. Michael pulled her close and kissed her softly. Olivia came behind Elliot and wrapped her arms around him.
"Stop spying on her. He's a good guy." Elliot patted her hands that were on his stomach.
"That doesn't make me feel any better." Olivia rested her head on his back. She took his hand and pulled away from the living room doorway. Maureen pulled away from Michael and smiled at him. He took her hands in his and stared into her eyes.
"Two weeks." Those two words made her smile widen. She knew she was making the right decision in marrying him.
~Two weeks later~
Maureen stood in front of her mirror in her white gown trying to keep the tears from falling down her cheeks and ruining her make-up. She heard a knock at the door. After telling whoever it was to come in, she tried to compose herself. She saw Elliot enter through the mirror. She smiled and turned around.
"Hi Daddy." Elliot didn't say anything just looked at her up and down. Her blonde hair was curled and the sides were pulled up and secured with a clip. Her make-up was natural. Her white dress was a princess style dress that was tight at the top and flowed out at the skirt. "Daddy?" Elliot snapped his eyes back up to hers. His blue eyes meeting hers. He walked over to her. She knew he had something to say but she didn't know what. He took her hand and spun her around slowly. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes.
"You swear he's the right one?" Maureen's eyes filled with tears again.
"Yes Daddy. I love him." He nodded. "I love you too. Just because I'm marrying Michael doesn't mean I won't still need my daddy." Elliot smiled as a tear creped its way down his face. He pulled her into a hug and buried his face in her hair.
"I love you sweetheart. Just remember one thing okay?" He pulled back and cupped her face. "I loved you first and I'll love you last." Maureen couldn't help but choke back a sob that came from her throat.
"I love you too, and I'll never forget that." Elliot gently wiped the tears from her eyes and kissed her cheek.
"Let's get you married huh?" Maureen nodded and took her father's arm.
