Chase's heart fell when he read the warning that flashed on the screen.

Warning: The creator of this virus will not survive at all. At first, he thought nothing of it but now he realized, even though launching this virus would cancel Krane and save the lives of all the bionics, he would still die. He wouldn't live. However, the youngest Davenport continued downloading the virus, though he felt terrible.

"Alright Leo," he explained once he finished, turning to his stepbrother and placing his hands on his shoulders. This was it, he was going to tell his brother he wasn't going to wake up after he stopped the virus. But he couldn't, he fell to the floor with everyone doing the same. Drawing in his final breath, Chase saw memories of all the best times he's had with his siblings and smiled faintly, seeing everything go black.

"No! No, no, no, no, no!" Leo cried, looking at his family and fellow students. Douglas walked in, computer in hand, and looked around.

"What did you do?!" He scolded.

"It wasn't me!" Leo exclaimed. "It was Chase! I told him not to install the virus but he did it anyway. He is trouble that one! TROUBLE!"

Douglas rolled his eyes. "All I have to do is uninstall Chase's virus."

He walked over to the computer and began typing.

"Hurry up! They can't go much longer without oxygen!" Leo yelped. Douglas typed faster.

"Done!" He cheered.

"Then why aren't they waking up?" Leo asked, tilting his head a bit. "They can't survive for much longer!"

Douglas shrugged and Leo leaned over to see the cyber-desk.

"Nice going, genius. The anti-virus isn't working because you forgot to hit enter!" He rolled his eyes.

"Oh, well maybe it was because I was busy-" Douglas started.

"Just do it!" Leo snapped, making Douglas hit the button. Silence filled the room, until Adam and Bree jumped up at the same time, letting out a gasp. Soon, all the students followed.

"It worked! Oh it worked!" Douglas beamed. "You're all alive."

But Chase remained on the floor, unmoving and not breathing, unnoticed by his siblings or father due to the excitement.
