"GENTLE FIST EIGHT TRI GRAM SIXTY-FOUR PALM!" Hinata shouted. Obito finally jumped from the Kyuubi and started attacking the shinobi head on. As of right now, Obito just got hit by Hinata. Naruto then came in and managed to kick him in the head. Somehow, Obito managed to survive Hinata's attack.
"You filthy peasants!" Obito shouted in anger and pain.
Obito then jumped back on a group of rocks and somehow managed to make an attack similar to the Rasengan. Two minutes after completing it, he threw it down towards Naruto and Hinata. Naruto thought that it was aimed at him and was already in a blocking position. But instead, the attack hit Hinata, whom ended up being thrown several feet back.
"Looks like your friend is the next peasant to go." Obito said, almost emotionless.
"HINATA!" Naruto shouted with worry. Before he went after Hinata, he threw a death glare at Obito. Finally, Naruto made it to Hinata, whom was unconscious. Naruto held her in his arms and tried to find a pulse, which he couldn't find.
"Hinata! Say something! Anything! ANSWER ME!" Naruto shouted.
Silence. Tears started to stream down the blonde-haired shinobi's face. First Neji and now Hinata. She was the only who understood him and actually treated him like a person. Naruto wished she would wake up, but his heart told him that Hinata was really gone. Now, he would never get to tell Hinata his answer to her confession.
"N-Naruto." Hinata finally spoke weakly. Naruto couldn't believe it. The girl he thought was dead is alive and well in his arms. Although she has a couple of cuts and bruises, he knew Hinata was going to be okay.
"Hinata! Are you alright?" Naruto asked worried.
"Y-yes. I'm fine."
"I'm so sorry, Hinata. I wasn't able to save you from Obito's attack."
"It's okay, Naruto. I saw it coming."
"Hinata, you gotta promise me something."
"Anything."
"Promise that you'll stay with me and survive this war. I got something to tell you when all of this is over."
"I promise." Finally relieved, Naruto decided to go back on the battlefield and face Obito.
"Where are you going?" Hinata asked.
"I'm going back to face Obito."
"Just promise me that you'll be careful." Naruto knelt down besides Hinata, cupped her face, and kissed her full on the mouth. Hinata returned it gently. The kiss lasted for 30 seconds.
"I promise. " Naruto finally said. He then realized that due to Hinata's injuries, he needed people to watch over her until she was healed.
"INO! KIBA!" he shouted. Ino and Kiba heard his shout and rushed over to Naruto and Hinata's location.
"What do you need, Naruto?" Kiba asked.
"I need you two to watch over Hinata. Ino, use your healing jutsu to take care of Hinata's wounds. Kiba, I want you to keep watch of Ino and Hinata in case someone tries to attack you. Can you guys do that?" Ino and Kiba nodded as Naruto went back to face Obito. After he left, Hinata whispered:
"Stay alive."
