A/N: Not mine...though I wish it was :)

Natalie stormed up the many flights of stairs to her bedroom and slammed her door. Why was she always second, the invisible child compared to her brother, who had been dead sixteen years?

She heard her dad downstairs trying to explain to her mother that her son has been dead for a long time. It was silent for now, other than her dad's voice, but she knew her mother would fight back. If not now, than tomorrow…or the day after that.

Whenever he appeared to her mother next. She said she could see him. This had Natalie, her dad, and the doctor worried. Natalie was convinced her was some spirit determined to ruin their lives, but not to her mother. To Diana he was a hero, a lover, a prince, but her daughter wasn't there. She was never there, she was the invisible girl.

No matter what she did she'd always be second best in her mother's eyes. She was forgotten, she faded into the background of her family's life as they all tried to cope with her mom's depression and whatever else she had. The list got longer by the day as did the amount of medications she took. The doctor tried to help, he really did, but her mom was determined to hold on to her son.

Natalie thought she'd disappear at any moment. Nobody would miss her. They wouldn't even realize she was gone because he was superboy and she was just the invisible girl.
