A fictional trailor a of game dealing w/ what happens on Earth while Commander Shepard gets help.

Male Soldier (V.O.): Shepard warned they were coming.
Exterior scene showing Reapers landing
Male Soldier (V.O.): Most of us didn't believe her.
Exterior scene showing a city surrounding a moutainous complex in it's center. A reaper is decending towards the complex.
Male Soldier (V.O.): But somebody did and took steps.
A powerful "Jet of Flame" knocks the reaper out of the sky and to the outskirts.
A shadow flies up though the "Flame" then lands hard between the Reaper and the city.
Cousiler Anderson (V.O.): What is that thing?
Old man's Voice: The means of our surviving until the good commander returns.
The smoke and dust clears revealing a humanoid robot as tall as the reaper. Green glowing eyes are raised into view.
Anderson: How long have we had that?
Old Man: Scence Mid World War II where it's construction began.
The robot stands up before dropping to one knee and a MAMOTH cannon resembling a bazzooka appears.
Anderson: How..
Old man: Please Anderson don't ask me to explain until AFTER the good Commander returns. We need both you and the Major sane so we can keep them at bay until then.
The robot fires the cannon and blows the reaper to bits.
Old Man: But with Major Shepard at the Controls of Roughrider the odd have moved into our favor though they're still against
Montage
Shows Roughrider marching through a cityscape firing at various reapers
Shows Major shepard grabbing his shoulder as roughrider takes a hit in it's shoulder
Shows a large underground command center with Anderson giving orders
finally shows Roughrider jumping up with a battleaxe in hand coming towards a Reaper
Major Shepard: I just hope I cald hold out until my cousin returns
Shows Major Shepard at the controls of Roughrider and pulls away until we're looking at the gundum-like head of roughrider just before a shield is raised between us and it
