Ben Solo has never felt more alone than he is right now. Rey had rejected his offer. He should hate her, but something in him won't let him. He looked out from his bedroom window on the ship.
I was the one who had it all
I was the master of my fate
I never needed anybody in my life
I learned the truth too late
I'll never shake away the pain
I close my eyes but she's still there
I let her steal into my melancholy heart
It's more than I can bear
Hastily turning away from the stars, he slowly slid down against the wall and sat there staring at nothing.
Now I know she'll never leave me
Even as she runs away
She will still torment me,
Calm me,
Hurt me,
Move me,
Come what may
Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
He remembers the last time he saw her. The Force connected them again, and Rey with no remorse in her eyes shut the door on him. It felt like daggers cutting at his heart.
I'll fool myself she'll walk right in
And be with me forever more
Anger swelled in his heart as he gets up and walks away from the window. He should have known she would never join him. He was a monster in her eyes. A murderer… An enemy.
I rage against the trails of love
I curse the fading of the light
Though she's already flown so far beyond my reach
She's never out of sight
He looks in the mirror and sees the stars behind him. One of them shining brighter then the rest.
Now I know she'll never leave me
Even as she fades from view
She will still inspire me
Be a part of everything I do
He slowly walks back to the window full of stars and presses his hand against the cold glass. He looks out thinking of the Scavenger that stole his heart.
