A/N: This is my first story for Becoming Human, I'm going to try to update once a week, maybe twice if I see a lot of people read it! The more response I get, the longer the chapters will be. I'm going to start out with ±500 wrd chapters.
It was one week after mr. Roe had disappeared through Matt's door. Adam, Christa and Matt were still waiting for his door to reappear - Matt wanted to stay with Adam and Christa, but he couldn't bear to see his parents looking for him every day.
Matt hadn't appeared at school today, Adam figured he was at his parents' place. This was his first chance in a long time to talk to Christa alone, and he jumped at the opportunity.
He found her in the cafeteria, and experienced a short moment of déjà-vu as he saw her sitting at the same table she had been sitting at when he first saw her, reading a book.
"Christa!"
The werewolf looked up from her book and Adam noticed the corners of her mouth turned up slightly.
"Adam," she greeted him coolly.
Not being able to contain himself, he immediately started off on the wrong foot by turning on his sex-pest-self.
"Baby," he whispered, whilst scooting his chair closer to Christa's, "why are you so distant lately?"
Christa surprised him by answering his question seriously, and moving slightly closer to him. "Baby," she whispered in his ear, "You know I don't feel comfortable flirting with you when Matt's around."
Adam swallowed, as he took in this new information. This might be much easier than he had expected.
"He's not around today, though" Adam whispered in her ear.
Christa smirked as she drew back, "Really, Adam? Come on, you know you and me wouldn't work out. So let's just drop it, okay?"
Adam was sure he would have blushed if he could, and was at that moment very grateful that he couldn't.
"Jeez Christa, I was joking, obviously," he said, whilst leaning back himself.
This time it was Christa's turn to blush, and when Adam saw this he quickly added, "Although, if you're down, we could still..." his sentence faded out, whilst he was pointing wildly between himself and Christa.
That was not a good move, he thought to himself, as he saw her shove her chair back and get up, her face red and her expression like thunder.
"Sod off," she hissed, as she picked up her bag, flung it over her shoulder, and stalked out of the cafeteria, leaving Adam alone once more.
Adam sighed to himself as he watched her leave. That had not at all gone like he wanted it to. Damn his perverted brain!
