Coming Home
Prompt: Coming Home- Diddy
Sequel to Leaving On A Jet Plane

I'm coming home.
I'm coming home.
Tell the world I'm coming home.
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday.
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes.
I'm coming home.
I'm coming home.
Tell the world that I'm coming.

Two Years Later

It had been two years since Aaron had left for California. He was taking care of his mother.

Emily had been taking care of Jack and missing Aaron for those two years. He had promised her that he'd come back. She hoped he would truly keep that promise. She was empty without him.

She and Jack would talk to Aaron everyday. He never told her when he'd be coming home. He'd just say he would see them soon.

Emily sat in the living room as Jack watched TV in his room. There was a knock on the front door. She got up to see who it was, but no one was standing there. All she saw was a suitcase sitting in the middle of the hallway.

She waited five minutes, grabbed her gun, and opened the door. She turned and saw Aaron standing there with a smile on his face.

She quickly put her gun on the side table and hugged Aaron. She kissed him and said, "Aaron! You're home. I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you, too, Emily. It's so good to be back."

Emily walked inside and sat on the couch. Suddenly, Aaron got down on one knee and opened a small black box, revealing a gorgeous diamond ring.

"Emily, I promised you we'd get married when I returned. So, Emily, will you marry me?"

"Of course. I love you, Aaron." She said, crying.

"I love you, too." He said, placing the ring on her finger, where it belonged.

She kissed him and said, "You scared me before. I thought some psycho was at the door."

"Sorry about that." Aaron laughed and kissed her.

Jack walked out of his room and shouted, "Daddy!" He ran into Aaron's arms.

"Hey, buddy."

"Daddy, you're back! I missed you. Are you going to be staying forever?"

"Yes, of course. I love you, Jack. I'll never leave you again."

"I love you, too, Daddy. Emmy took good care of me."

Aaron looked at Emily and smiled. "Well, buddy, Emily and I are getting married." Jack smiled and Aaron said, "Are you happy about that?" Jack nodded and hugged Emily.
