I am Nimrodel

A (kind of old, I think it's from seventh grade) poem about the river that runs through Lothlorien... Ever read anything from a river's POV?

Just a little something I scribbled off...

A/N: To those of you who don't know, Nimrodel is the river that flows through Lothlorien
*******************************

I am Nimrodel:
the ancient channel,
I watched the sun rise yesterday,
And I will watch the moon wane today

Into infinity I will flow,
Through these same trees,
And when the trees are gone,
The dry earth will still remain

And I will wander
Through the empty earth,
Watching the stars,
Until the they dim and fail

When the dark folds around my banks,
And the last moonlight fades,
I will still remain

I am Nimrodel:
Forever
