Haymitch's POV

*Knock knock* "Who is it?!" No reply. Goodness sake now I have to go and answer the door. Why do people never leave me alone? I bet it's just some annoying little kid playing throw stones at the drunk victor's house again. This is really annoying! I wish people would just leave me be….

"EFFIE?!" OH SHIT! EFFIE IS AT THE DOOR! Shit. Shit. Shit. My house isn't even tidy. What is she going to think? I wish she told me she was visiting! It would be fine if it was someone else, like Katniss or someone, at the door because they don't really care how I look or what my house is like. Effie is from the capitol. She likes things to be perfect. I know she already hates me but when she sees the state of my house she might never talk to me again! It would be a shame because Effie is the only capitol person that I can actually stand.

"Surprise!" Effie is standing on my doorstep looking well… capitol-ish.

"Hi Trinket. What are you doing here?"

"Well… you know. I thought I would drop by!"

"Come on in. Sorry about the mess…"

As I go to shut the door (after Effie has walked in of course!) I notice something on the floor. It looks like some kind of a notebook. I'm guessing it fell out of Effie's handbag as she walked in.

"Haymitch? What are you doing?"

"Nothing." I pick up the note book and hide it behind the plant pot by the door.

(later that night)

A smile appears on Haymitch's face as I seductively walk over to him. How his dangerous grey eyes allure me! I have waited too long to do this. I pull him close to me and passionately kiss him. He lays me down on a mahogany table. This will be a night I will never forget.

I quickly slam the notebook shut when I hear a noise coming from the spare room. Effie walks in wearing a silk dressing gown.

"I couldn't sleep…"

Effie was right – we have waited too long to do this. I walk over and put my arms around her.

"Haymitch…" She smiles at me

"I want you so bad right now"

Maybe she dropped the notebook on purpose but I guess I will never know.
