I'm Yours
Prompt: I'm Yours- The Script

I may not have the softest touch.
I may not say the words as such.
And though I may not look like much, I'm yours.
And though my edges may be rough,
I never feel it's quite enough.
I may not seem like very much, but I'm yours.

Emily and Reid were dating, but he didn't feel like they should be. He didn't feel he was good enough for her. She deserved someone a lot better than him. She could have someone better and it wouldn't take her long to find that someone.

He was awkward and not as much as he seemed. Sure, he was smart, but there was nothing else he had. He definitely wasn't good with women.

It was strange, though. She chose him and he was more than ecstatic about it.

You healed these scars over time.
You braced my soul,
You loved my mind.
You're the only angel in my life.

Emily helped Reid and healed his mind. She helped him to get over the things that had happened in the past. She helped him after Gideon left and she also talked to him about his time in high school.

She would always listen intently to him whenever he would randomly spit out statistics. Sometimes, she would even add to the comments he made.

She loved how he was so smart. She mainly loved how he was a nerd, since she was apparently nerdy, too. She loved him and he knew it.

The day news came,
My best friend died.
My knees went weak and you saw me cry.
Say I'm still the soldier in your eyes.

Reid rarely showed emotions in front of anyone, especially Emily. But one day, he had to.

He got a call saying that his best friend, Ethan, had died in a car accident. He was the emergency contact on Ethan's phone. He broke down after the call and cried into Emily's arms. She felt for him because she knew what it felt like to lose a great friend.

She held him and comforted him. She told him that everything would be okay. She told him she loved him and held him tight. She kissed him and they just sat in silence. The only sound in the room was the quiet sobs coming from Reid.

Emily loved Reid. She didn't even care about his flaws. He was hers.

I may not have the softest touch.
I may not say the words as such.
And though I may not look like much, I'm yours.
And though my edges may be rough,
I never feel it's quite enough.
I may not seem like very much, but I'm yours.
