James' Pov
Today was the day. I was going to tell my friends about my plans to propose to my girlfriend of 2 years. Lily. Doesn't sound scary! Well, you never promised you wouldn't ever settle down. Remus, Sirius, and Peter were coming out to the tree to get me. "Dude you need to tell us what's going on." Padfoot yelled at me. I started to twirl the box with the ring in it. Moony's eyes went wide. He had seen the ring before. "Dude this is great!" He yelled. Wormtail and Padfoot look at him strange. "I would like to propose to Lily." Padfoot looked confused, "Why did you have to ask us?"
"I didn't ask you, I'm telling you." I said with a smile. "Well go ask her." Sirius said. "I'm planning on next week." They all looked around and then Remus said "Wait till the perfect moment. Just trust us." "Trust you! You were the ones who said 'trust us' then the next day I ended up with blue hair and was followed by singing Lilies singing." (AN1: The flowers) (AN2: Don't ask)
Three days later
Third POV
Sirius and Remus pushed James to the tree outside by the park. There was Lily on a blanket with my dinner Sirius had stolen. "Go get her." Remus said pushing the ring in my hand. From under my dresser, in the wooden box, under the floor boards. How they found? It was a miracle.
"I got your owl." Lily said. I was about to speak when she said. "I know Sirius wrote it but why?" James sighed. "I wanted to do this differently but since you're already here."
James stood up, helped her and then got down on one knee. "I know we are out of school and just barley living but, I love you. Will you marry me?" Lily nodded, which was all she was capable of at the moment. They both were unaware that Remus and Sirius were videotaping this.
