Sorry it's late, but here is a short little Drabble for Valentines Day. As always please R&R! Enjoy!
"You're so beautiful, Rae." Garfield whispered into her ear.
"You always say that." Raven replied. She shifted her body to face him. They were both sweaty and still catching their breathes from the love they had just made together. Garfield was now caressing the women he loved in his arms, as they laid side by side in her bed.
"I know, but it's only because you always seem to forget." He told her with a loving smile. They gazed into each other's eyes for what felt like hours until he finally broke the silence. "You're so beautiful, Rae." Garfield whispered into her ear.
"You always say that." Raven replied. She shifted her body to face him. They were both sweaty and still catching their breathes from the love they had just made together. Garfield was now caressing the women he loved in his arms, as they laid side by side in her bed.
"I know, but it's only because you always seem to forget." He told her with a loving smile. They gazed into each other's eyes for what felt like hours until he finally broke the silence. "You know what? I really want to kiss you right now."
"Then why don't you?" She asked curiously.
"Because I don't know where I want to do it." He said.
"Lips?" She guessed.
"No." He said shaking his head.
"Cheek?" She tried again.
"No." He said again. She was starting to get inpatient.
"Then where?" She questioned.
He paused for a moment to think before he replied, "In a church in front of everyone when we say I do."
She thought he was joking, but his emotions were completely serious. "Did he really just suggest marriage? Was that really an option already? We've only been dating for what, a year and a half? Two years? Three? Yeah that's it. We've only been dating for three years. We're not ready for marriage, right?" Raven wondered in shock.
Garfield was starting to feel nervous. He saw the shock on her face, and his mind couldn't of helped, but to think he had messed up. He had been wanting to pop the question for a year now, but everything about their relationship had to go slow. For Raven's sake, that was. The only thing in their relationship that was sudden was sex. That was unplanned and it took a lot of convincing on Garfield's part to get Raven to do it again. So he thought that by dropping a subtle hint about marriage would be the best way to ease her into the idea. Although, now he was wasn't so sure.
"Maybe one day." She finally answered. Before he had a chance to comprehend her closing remark, she turned herself away from him and fell asleep.
"Maybe?" He thought to himself. "Maybe is good." He confirmed before he wrapped his arms around her body and joining her in a dream world.
