Prologue;
This is a tale of three brave warriors, who, even as kits would risk their lives for each other, though remaining very loyal to their Clans, although one of them is a loner, and does not belong to a Clan. This book accounts their adventures. Together they face great dangers, fight in amazing battles, and brave the dark forest. I hope you enjoy this book. This story is dedicated to my best friends Amy and Sydni, who first introduced me to Warriors.
Chapter 1
Once upon a time, three beautiful kits were born on the same sunny morning in new-leaf of three different mothers, two of ThunderClan, one a loner, not belonging to a Clan. The loner gave birth to a gray she-cat, Rainkit. The first ThunderClan cat gave birth to a ginger she-cat, Redkit, and the second a jet-black she-cat, Hawkkit. Three moons later a fierce battle took place at the camp with RiverClan. Suddenly a loner cat ran into camp carrying a kit in her mouth, she hid the kit in the nursery and turned and ran out of camp. After the battle, Firestar called a Clan meeting. "What shall we do with the loner kit?" meowed Firestar. "I think we should kill it!" said Longtail. "How can you say that Longtail, I think we should abandon it in the forest," said Halftail. Suddenly, a small voice from the back of the crowd spoke. "Excuse me but we could have one of the queens nurse her until she is old enough to take care of herself, and then let her loose in the forest." "Who said that?" yowled Firestar. The group looked to where the voice came from. " It was me," mewed Redkit, a small ginger she-kit. 'You are a smart kit," mewed Firestar. "It wasn't only me, it was my friend Hawkkit's idea," meowed Redkit. Frostfur spoke, " what is her name?" "Her name is Rainkit, she told me while I was in the nursery," meowed Redkit. "A pretty name for a loner cat," mewed Frostfur. "We will carry out the idea suggested by Redkit and Hawkkit. Goldenflower will you nurse Rainkit?" meowed Firestar. "I will" mewed Goldenflower.
