Someday When I Stop
Prompt: Someday When I Stop Loving You- Carrie Underwood
One foot on the bus, about half past nine.
I know that you were leaving this time.
I thought about laying down in its path.
Thinking that you might get off for that.
Emily followed Hotch out of her apartment building. She had tears streaking down her face, and she couldn't stop them.
Hotch was leaving her. He was getting on a bus and he didn't even look back.
Emily wanted to stop him from leaving. She would do anything just to get him off of that bus and stop him from leaving her.
I remember that night we laid in bed,
Naming all our kids we hadn't had yet.
One for your grandma and one for mine.
Said we'd draw straws when it came time.
Emily remembered back to when their relationship was perfect. They would sit, when they were bored, and name their kids. They were preparing for when they decided to settle down and get married.
But now, that was all over.
I'll move on, baby, just like you.
When the desert floods and the grass turns blue.
When a sailing ship don't need her moon.
It'll break my heart, but I'll get through.
Someday when I stop loving you.
Emily would soon move on. It would take her a while, but she'd get through it.
Her heart was completely broken, but it would heal eventually. She'd soon stop loving him.
I bet all I had on a thing called love.
I guess, in the end, it wasn't enough.
And it's hard to watch you leave right now.
I'm gonna have to learn to let you go somehow.
Emily put everything she had into their relationship. But now, it was all gone, wasted.
Emily watched as Hotch got on the bus, never looking back. The bus soon drove away. Emily just let it leave. She turned around and walked into her apartment, never to look back at their relationship again.
I'll move on, baby, just like you.
When the desert floods and the grass turns blue.
When a sailing ship don't need her moon.
It'll break my heart, but I'll get through.
Someday when I stop loving you.
