Disclaimer: These people ain't mine, but I wish they were!
My name is Jared Williams and I have an incredible story to tell you. Even if you don't belive it, I hope you will at least be entertained. I lived this story that I am about to tell you, and sometimes I don't even believe it. I imagine, I should start at the beginning, so here we go. It really began on my twenty-third birthday. There was really nothing strange about it, it was the same as it had been five years prior to that. As usual, I woke up, fed ludo my dog, went to work, and came home. It was ending up to be the typical birthday routine, until much later that night. I began to microwave my self a frozen dinner and fed Ludo. I sat down on the couch and began to read the only birthday card that i recieved in the last five years. IT was from my mother, Sarah Williams, who had now been missing for those five long years. The card read
"To my little babe, who has now grown up to be a strong man. I love you so much It shocks me everyday, how much you are like your father. You favor him greatly. Enjoy the necklace and pendant, take very good care of it. You will get the rest of your presents when i get home.
Lovingly, Mom "
Well, she never returned and I still did not know where she was, what the rest of the presents were, or who my father was. As I said, it really started later that night. I was sitting there reading the card and suddenly I began to hear knocking at my front door. It wasn't your regular knocking either, that is what caught me off gaurd, it sounded like thousands of little taps. As I began to walk to the door, the knocking ceased and I opened it. "Hello"?, I yelled to see if anybody would answer. I stood there for a few minutes and finally thought to myself that the knocking must have been the nieghborhood kids playing a prank. For some strange reason, before i closed the door, I looked down at the stoop. Thats when I first saw the little package that would change my life forever. The package was about three inches in width and in length. It had a huge silver bow on top of it, with a card tucked underneath. I decided to open the card, and read what it said. "To my Son,
May this aide you in finding the truth that you seek. For this is the rest of the present that were promised, years ago. You have grown into a fine man.
Sincerly,
J. "
I wondered how could such a tiny box help me to find the truth in my life. I also wondered what kind of sick joke that it was, bringing my mother into this. What could of this maniac wanted? As far as I knew my mother had to be dead, that was the only logical answer to her disappearance. I wondered...."Should I open this package....or should I just leave it?"
