There was a steady hum as the interrogation droid moved closer, closing in on her. She felt the cold, metal hand of Darth Vader on her arm and the sound of his artificial breathing in her ear. As the mind probe moved closer she struggled to get away, filled with fear. Her attempts were futile though, and the prbe just injected the liquid into her vein.

Then she was in the command center of the Death Star. She saw her friends and family down on Alderaan. Then Tarkin ordered for them to fire and she struggled to get away. The grip on her shoulders tightened until she could barely feel them and she was pressed up against Vader's armor. Then there was a flash of light and Alderaan was gone, just like that. She could hear everyone's screams as the planet blew up.

Leia awoke screaming as she relived those horrible moments. She had been having that nightmare for the past week, always the same one. The sheets were soaked with her sweat as well as her forehead. Where am I? She thought. Then she remembered. She was on the Rebel Alliance's command ship, in her quarters. She was aware of footsteps outside her door and thought that it was just another pilot up late. They were still celebrating their victory in destroying the Death Star.

The footsteps stopped right in front of her quarters and the doors opened. She was momentarily blinded by the sudden light as Han Solo stepped into the room. He walked over to the bed and she could see the concern in his eyes as he sat down. "Are you ok?" he asked in a surprisingly soft voice.

" Yes." she wasn't about to admit that she had been scared in front of him.

"Are you sure? I could hear you scream from the other side of the ship." he said.

"It's just that--I can't explain it. It's just that I still think that if I hadn't lied Alderaan would still be alive."

"But Alderaan would been destroyed eventually along with more star systems." Han said.

"I could practically see my family there, hear their voices when they fired." she choked on her words.

She couldn't cry, not now and certainly not in the presence of Han. But she couldn't stop the sobs and the kept on coming. "Come on now. Listen, I didn't try to make you upset." Han said.

Leia didn't reply and Han held her close. She felt comforted by his presence, even if he could be a pain in the butt sometimes. She allowed him to hold her and the sobs began to cease. "Thank you." Leia said to Han.

"You're welcome." he said.
