AFTERMATH

They both laid there wonderfully sated they couldn't hide their smiles Kate resting on his chest, their legs intertwined Castle playing with the shorter strands of her hair he always loved her long hair, any length really. But this new length makes her look softer, so beautiful and even though he has had amnesia he's missed her, this so much he can't even imagine what it's been like for her all this time not knowing if he would ever come home if they would ever see each other again, make love finally get to start their future. She didn't deserve that all this hell the world has pushed in front of her, her mothers death, her shooting and his kidnapping, it's just not fair.

She lifted her head from his chest beaming up at him her smile faltered though as soon as she saw the worried look on his face she scooted up closer her hands framing his handsome face "babe? What's... is everything okay? Was... was it not what you wanted beca..." She couldn't finish the sentence he pulled her closer claiming her lips she let out a small whimper into his mouth.

"So far from true Kate that was... amazing... like our first time all over again..."

Kate ducked her head kissing the side of his jaw "yeah?... you uh remember what that was like?"

He could sense the slight hesitation lifting her face up using his thumb underneath her chin he pushed the stubborn bit of her hair behind her ear cupping her face "everyday".

Her eyes welled up from his admission god she's missed this, him, them, but she still didn't understand why he looked so lost before. "It's just... you looked so... lost before... I thought maybe..." She just shrugged her shoulders looking over at their shells on the wall.

"Hey, hey, hey no babe no" he sat up Kate following the sheet falling across their laps both their chests bare. "Kate believe me I loved that, I love us when we make love, it's... indescribable" he noticed the slight redness forming on her cheeks as she gave him a sweet smile. "Babe I was just thinking how much I've missed us, and how this world can be so evil to the most giving, loving, wondrous people all the hell this world has put on your shoulders just isn't fair and here I've just added to it by getting taken on our wedding day."

Kate shook her head pulling him in for a hug "Rick babe, you didn't choose to get taken okay? Some dickhead chose once again to screw with us and yes I've had to deal with some hard stuff but if none of that ever happened we wouldn't be here today and that's a life I don't want okay? So stop beating yourself down. We're gonna be married in at least a month and we will get through this look how far we have come in the last six years. You're here now, we're gonna be stronger than ever okay?" She leaned back a touch and gave him a short sweet kiss.

"I love you so much" he leaned back and kissed her "so much"

"Love you too handsome" that made him smile pulling her down with him so they were both laying on their sides laying as close as they could together.

"Sorry for ruining the mood" he murmured

"It's fine honestly I think we needed this... And the talk" she smirked.

His eyes darkened at her remark, "you seriously are a minx! But yeah that was... incredible god I missed you"

"I missed you to, missed this"

He tightened his arm around her lower back Kate snuggled closer breathing in the side of his neck. "Goodnight love" she heard him murmur against her head.

"Night babe" she murmured against his neck giving him a quick peck on his adams apple.
