Okay literally this took me MONTHS to write, 7 months specifically. I'm serious. The reason was mostly because of the extensive school work I had along with some other issues that I don't want to talk about, but I did it at least. Also this is actually the second rewrite, I got a new idea so had to rewrite half of what I already had. Thank you for all those who had been patient with me. I truly thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN POKEMON

Chapter 1

The Jewel

Two people—one girl and one guy—crawl through the insides of a ceiling. They both had on a pair of night vision goggles, high tech watches, and the guy had a backpack on his back. It was the girl's job to keep track of their location and make sure that they get to their destination with the help of her watch.

Both of them had been crawling in silent ever since they entered the ceiling which had been about twenty minutes ago. The only sound they heard was the sound of the people's conversations in the building below them. The girl pauses for a moment and grabs her partner arm, causing him to look back at her. Using her other hand, she motions to him that they had just reach their destination below. The guy nods his head before getting to work.

The guy takes his backpack off and takes out several tools— two large round handles with a powerful suction cup at the end, some strong cables, hooks, a special pen and two belts with a few rings on it. He hands one of the belts to the girl and wraps the other one around his waist. Afterwards, he hands a cable to his partner to hook onto her belt while he did the same.

Seeing his partner finish with her work, he asks in a hush voice, "Ready?"

"Sure I am."

"Okay," he said while reaching for the pen, "let's do this."

He pulls off the cap and draws a perfect circle on the ceiling tile. The ink left from the pen left a glowing neon green trail. Taking one of the handles, he places it in the center of the circle and twists to secure it in place. He gives a strong tug on the handle and was satisfy when the handle didn't even budge.

"It's ready for you," he said to the girl.

"Alright, just leave it to me," she said while going through her watch to get to the laser program.

Once she got the laser set up on her watch, she pushes the red button on the watch's screen releasing the small laser and traces the circle. The laser melts the ceiling material on contact. Half way through, her partner had held onto the handle making sure that part of the ceiling didn't fall down while she was tracing the remaining half of the circle. He lifts the ceiling piece up when the girl was done and set it aside. He releases the ceiling piece at the push of a button.

The two peak down through the hole. They could see a large bright area where people were gathered around each exhibit, especially the exhibit that was directly below them. The exhibit below them displays a beautiful and elegant piece of necklace, giving it a vibe of royalty. It was secure by a glass case made out of bullet proof material on top of a pedestal. Thick red velvet ropes separated the center piece from the public; there were security guards standing behind the corners of the square that the ropes made.

The necklace had a chocker part with a large pear cut gem in the center and a large lace part. The entire thing was made completely out of diamonds, emeralds and sapphires with the base structure made out of pure white gold. Round cut diamonds traced the lace part of the necklace and in the center of the lace were rows of sapphires and emeralds in the form of emerald and octagon cuts. The center of the piece was a large pear cut gem displaying a rare fusion of sapphire and emerald.

"So that's our target, huh?" the girl whisper to the guy.

"Correct. Name's Motophous, masterpiece of the Royalé Collection by Fred Labornde. Made completely out of emeralds, sapphire, diamonds with a base structure of pure white gold. Totaling 2,555 gemstones which is equivalent to 421.54 carats. The center piece alone is 5 carats made out of a rare but natural fusion of a sapphire and emerald," the guy informs the girl.

"Amazing…. The Lord is going to be ecstatic when we get our hands on that… but what are we going to do about the guards?"

"Simple, we'll just knock them down when we go down and use that special hammer Dr. Karson given to us for this mission."

He attaches his and his partner's safety hook onto the handles. After he was done, he secured his handle near the hole before handing his partner's to her and waits for her to secure hers.

Seeing that she is done, they made eye contact and nod their heads, knowing what to do. The guy went into the backpack and takes out the special hammer and a blue velvet box before zippering up his backpack and slipping it back on his back.

"I'll be going then, see you there," the girl says while slipping her goggles on her forehead. With that she jumps down through the hole, feet first.

After slipping his goggles off and lets them rest on his neck, he jumps down after his partner right away.

Ash and his seven friends were among the crowd that had gathered around the Motophous. The gang was currently in town for one of Drew's and Dawn's upcoming contest next week and had just arrived hours ago. Upon arrival they had come across an advertisement for the new jewelry exhibit with the Motophous being the center of the whole exhibit. The ad was so alluring that it persuaded everyone in their gang to go; that is everyone but Paul who thought that it was a waste of time. However, thanks to an over excited and hyper active Dawn, the anti-social was forced to tag along with them.

"I can't get over how beautiful it looks," Dawn said hypnotize by the beauty that the jewelry possessed.

"I know what you mean…" Misty said in agreement with Dawn. "But look at the price of that…."

"5.7 billion Poke dollars…. I wouldn't even be able to purchase that even if it takes me a lifetime or two," Leaf said with awe.

"It's scary to think of how much it cost," Ash got a bit nervous just thinking about the price of the Motophous.

"To think that we're able to see this, we really lucked out this time," Gary said.

"Excuse us, excuse us." A trio of people dressed in a black uniform made their way through the crowd and to the cased Motophous. One of them was about to unhook the velvet rope to get through the other side but was stopped by the guards. The guards immediately surrounded the trio and confronted them.

"You three, what do you think you're doing?" One of the guards blocked the trio from proceeding any further than they already had.

"Why hello there fellow colleges. Don't be mistaken. We're only here to take your places while the four of you take your break," the only woman of the group explains to them.

The guards look at each other with dubious expressions.

"Show us your IDs" Another guard said sticking his hand out for the trio's IDs. The stern look in his eyes made the three nervous.

"Ah y-yes, of course," the tall man replied. He was trying his hardest not to stutter but failed to do so.

In a very low voice he whispers silently to his female companion, "Jessie, what are we going to do? We got none."

"I don't know James, but we got to come up with something," she replied back in a sharp but quiet whisper.

Before the two was able to say anything to the guards, their last companion beat them to it.

"Here ya go fellows." Their shortest companion took out three IDs and handed it to the authentic guard. This caused his other two companions to dart their eyes to midget of a companion.

'MEOWTH!' Jessie and James screamed in their heads.

Meowth look over his should and gave them a thumb up and a wink as if saying, 'Don't worry. I got this.'

The guard took the IDs and inspects them. He would dart his eyes from the IDs to the trio, and then back to the IDs in his hands. Within a minute, the guard hands the IDs back to the trio.

"Okay then, I have confirmed the three of you. You can get to work now," he said.

The trio let out a smile at their success in tricking the guards. They straighten themselves and salute the guards.

"Thank you Sir," they said in unison giving the real guards a salute.

The moment where the trio and the four guards exchange places, a girl drop from the ceiling and kicked away that guards and the trio all at once. The seven of them were in the air for several seconds before crashing onto the cold gradient floors. Shortly afterwards, her partner drop down flawlessly next to the cased Motophous. With the special hammer in his hands, he powerfully hits the glass of the case. The glass shatter on contact and the glass shards flew everywhere.

People quickly distance themselves from the display to avoid the sharps shards, deserting the exhibit. The moment that case was broken the alarms immediately went off. Metal bars rose up, enclosing all the doors and windows of the room, jailing everyone in the room. People began to panic and anxiety rose within them.

The girl disconnects the cable and hook before pulling out an odd looking poke ball. It had the color black instead of red or white and bright blue color instead of black. Imprinted on the top of poke ball was the letter "D" in the color bright blue. The silver eyed girl tosses the poke ball into the air, releasing a whitish blue light. As the light disappears, a Breloom is revealed.

Pointing to the closest wall with her index finger, she commands, "Breloom, blast that wall using hyper beam!"

Breloom charges up a bit before releasing an orange bean at the wall. The wall exploded on contact, scattering pieces of debris all around. Those who were unfortunate were injured by the debris, while others took this chance to escape through the hole.

The girl's partner had already disposed his cable the moment after he broke the glass. He ignored the alarms and reaches for the necklace. His hand came so close to it, only centimeters away before a hand reached out and grab him by the wrist. Thinking quickly, he grabs the hand with his free hand and throws the person over his shoulder.

The guard landed onto the cold floor with a thud, followed by a string of groans and curses.

"Nuisance," he said with a cold tone. His senses sharpen and his golden eyes narrow as he sensed a presence of an enemy behind him. He twirls around, sending his signature rolling kick into another guard's jaw. The guy was so sure that he broke the guard's jaw with that rolling kick and with the man down groaning while holding onto his jaw, his hypothesis was confirmed. He smirks to himself at his accomplishment before dodging an attack from the previous guard that he had thrown. The guard didn't give up and continued throwing attacks one after the other.

"Tch, Margret!" the guy yells out to his partner. "What the hell are you doing? This isn't part of the plan." He ducked down, dodging a punch that was aimed at his face before sending a punch in the guard's guts.

"Well sorry your highness," his partner said sarcastically, "We're a little busy here, too." To prove her point she jumps up high to dodge an attack before landing on the bearded guard's back. Her Breloom in the meantime was in an intense battle against one of guard's Pinsir. "See my point Felix?"

Felix lets out a grunt in annoyance before sending another one of his kicks at his opponent's sides, knocking him down for the time being.

"Alright, change of plans. You get the necklace; I'll take care of the guards." He sprints towards her, taking her place not before throwing the velvet box towards her which she caught flawlessly. Felix was about to block an attack with his forearm before dodging another attack that came behind him.

Under normal circumstances she would've protest against her partner, but in the current situation she knew better than to disagree with him. This was because they absolutely cannot fail the mission.

Therefore without saying a word, she sprints towards the Motophous. She hastily opens the box before carefully taking the necklace in her hand and placing it in the box and shutting it tight before she'd secure the two small toggle latches on it.

"Got it," she smiles to herself; however that smile drop when a foreign hand grabbed on to it. Her silver eyes narrows into a glare.

"Thanks for packing the Motophous for me, but I can handle it from here on," Jessie said with a fake smile on. She tugs the box slightly towards her.

"As if Granny," a vein pops in Jessie's forehead when she heard the last term. "Now let go and get lost." The dark purple haired woman yanks the box closer to her in hopes to shake Jessie's hand off. However to her dismay, the hand had an even stronger grip on the box.

"Oh shit..."Meowth and James curse when they saw the dark aura surrounding Jessie.

"Granny…?" Jessie repeated the term slowly with anger.

"That girl just stepped on a landmine," Meowth said cowering behind James's leg.

"Do you know who I am?!" she gave a powerful tug on the box that almost caused Margret to lose her balance.

"No and I don't give a fuck either," she tugs the box back to her with just as much force as before. Jessie stumbles a bit before yelling out for James and Meowth. Unwillingly, they still stood beside Jessie knowing that if they don't, they'll feel her wrath later.

Ash and his friends had witness everything that happened and when they heard the two names, James and Meowth, they had a feeling what was coming up next.

"James and Meowth?" Dawn repeated, "Don't tell me-" she was cut off when Jessie started out saying their motto.

"Prepare for trouble!" She throws off her disguise displaying her white Team Rocket uniform.

James sighs and reluctantly says his lines, "And make it double…." He mimicked her action.

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all people within our nation…."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above…."

"Jessie!"

"James…."

"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now… or… or prepare to fight…."

"Meowth…. That's right…." Meowth lazily said.

"Team Rocket!" Ash and his friends said together in unison.

"Team Rocket?!" Margret and Felix repeated in surprise. Both of them had temporarily pauses in shock but not before kicking a guard in the face in Felix's case.

The whole room went silent before Jessie let out a loud and obnoxious laugh.

"What? Afraid of us? Now if you know what's good for you…. Give. Me. The. Damn. Box." She gives a big tug; however Margret had a strong hold on it and refuses to let her have it because she knew that she would have been dead if she allowed Team Rocket of all people to have it.

Team Rocket. The moment Felix and Margret heard that their opponents were Team Rocket, they didn't know if they hit the jackpot or stumbled across a dynamite. Out of all the teams they were up against, it just had to be Team Rocket. Due to the intense rivalry between the two teams, they knew if they were to lose against Team Rocket, not only would they lose the necklace, but they would be screwed as well. However on the other hand, their Lord would be incredibly please at them if they were to beat them senselessly.

The two made eye contact with each other. They nod their head in agreement as they silently come to a unanimous decision.

Failure was not an option.

Felix quickly finishes off the guards before running in the direction of Margret and Team Rocket. He took off a few small grey balls and threw next to Team Rocket's feet. None of the members notice the balls until a thick heavy smoke started emitting from the balls. The smoke caused major confusion among the crowd and people started to cough violently as the smoke clogged up their lungs.

"What's happening?" Jessie says coughing violently.

Using the smoke as a diversion, Felix sends a series of kicks at the three Team Rocket members. Unable to see anything, the trio took the kicks head on. Felix's last kick landed dead center of Jessie's stomach, causing her to lose her balance and fall back onto James and Meowth. In the process, she lost her grip on the box. Margret took this chance to escape but not before returning her Breloom. She and Felix had gotten to use to the smoke many times before and was able to maneuver through it perfectly fine. Seeing an area of light emitting through the smoke, the two ran towards the direction of it.

Unknown to anyone, a small white ghostly orb floats lonely in the corner of the room.

"A smoke screen?" Leaf coughed out.

"We need to clear this smoke before they get away," Brock said through his hand.

"Maybe we should call out our Pokémon to clear this smoke," Dawn suggest while reaching for her poke ball. Just after she said that, water suddenly rained down on them, soaking them all to the bones. The smoked had triggered the smoke detectors and had set off the alarms, which activated the sprinklers. The water from the sprinklers began to clear the smoke in the room, bringing sight to everyone but also drenching everyone.

Jessie hastily jumped to her feet as soon as the smoke cleared. She lets out a loud screech in anger. "That bitch!" she curse, "How dare she steal my necklace?!"

Her two partners sweat dropped at her comment.

"But Jessie," James said while getting up from his spot. "That necklace was meant for the Boss, not you."

"Shut up James."

"But what about our promotion?" Meowth said following James.

"Listen here," she turned around to face them. The two cringed in fear when they saw those flames of anger in her eyes. "I don't care about the promotion. We need to get the necklace back for me."

"B-but..." the two tried to argue, but was cut off.

"Got it?" This time her voice had a threatening tone to it, making them obey her commands out of fear. Seeing the two meekly nod their heads, Jessie felt satisfy. "Okay lets go, we can't let them escape." She shoots James and Meowth a look that said 'follow me or I'll kill you'.

She turns quickly around and runs through the hole while singing in a disgusting high pitch voice that creep everyone out. "Oh, Moto-phous~" her voice cracked, sending chills down everyone's spine. "I'm com-ming~~"

"We better go before that woman yells at us again…" James said with a bit of sadness in his voice. "Farewell promotion…."

"It was good dreaming about you," Meowth sniffed. With that the two darts out the hole, leaving a trail of dust behind them. Team Rocket left so fast and suddenly that Ash and his friends had no time to react much less stop them. They could only blink in confusion before returning back to reality.

"We have to follow them," Leaf said suddenly, breaking the silence among her friends. "We can't let them get off with something so valuable especially in the hands of evil. If Mr. Labornde found out that his master piece is stolen, he'll become so distressed."

"I second that," Misty said raising her arm up to emphasize her decision. "Honestly I think something might've happened to Officer Jenny. I mean don't you find it strange as to why Officer Jenny isn't here when a major crime like this have happened?"

"Now that you mention it… that is rather strange. I mean there's not even a police in sight," said Gary. "The only people that close to a police officer would be the guards but they're over there." He jab his thumb behind him to where the knocked out guards were.

"What are we waiting for then? Let's go!" Ash proclaim, pumping his fist in the air. He was ready to run out the building to follow Team Rocket and the other two thieves, but a hand grab the back of his collar. The action not only stopped him in his tracks but also chocked him as well. He looks over his shoulder sending that person a death glare. Ash was expecting that person to be Gary or Paul, but was surprise to see Brock.

"Brock?!" he exclaim in surprise. "What are you doing? Let go of me!" Ash began to struggle under Brock's grip.

"Stop it Ash, you can just jump into rash decisions without thinking things over."

Rash decisions? Ash didn't understand what Brock was talking about. He wasn't being rash; he understands the situation clearly and knew that they had to do something before the crooks got away. With Officer Jenny and her crew missing, it was up to them to do the right thing.

Brock gave him a look before sighing, knowing what Ash was thinking.

"I know what you're thinking," he said to Ash, "and I'm not here to stop you; but look here, we can't all leave, not with this many people injured here. Some of us have to stay behind to help them until the police arrive."

"Oh… so that's what you meant." Ash could feel the grip on his back collar being release.

"I think half of us should stay while the other half leaves," as soon as Brock suggested that, everyone started arguing among themselves as to who should go and who should stay. They all wanted to go but knew Brock was right and so they started shouting out each other's name to stay with Brock. Brock shook his head at the sight and decides to break the chaos that was unraveling.

"Hold it everyone!" he shouts silencing everyone and gains their attentions in the process. "We can't all go and there's no use arguing amongst ourselves."

"Exactly!" Misty said fiercely and sends a glare at Gary who returned the look. "Which is why you should stay behind."

"And what gives you the rights to make that decision?" Gary replies with annoyance dripping in his words.

Before Misty could yell out a reply, Brock replies for her. "No one because the one making the decisions here is me." He jabs a thumbs at himself to emphases his point.

"Yeah tell them Brock, tell them who's staying and who's leaving," Misty said looking smug.

"Misty, Dawn and Leaf, you three are staying with me," Brock said shocking the three girls. They were just about to complain when Brock sent them a stern look. "Don't even think about complaining. You three have Pokémon that can heal these people so just leave the rest to the guys."

The guys were thrill to hear that they would be the ones leaving. Even if they were the ones staying back, they would've just left either way as bad as that sounds. It's not that they didn't want to help the injured people, but rather their temptation for a battle is too strong. Battling each other all the time had gotten a bit boring lately and they are itching to battle someone else. Anyone would satisfy this need of theirs; even if it was small battle which they were ascertain would happen after all it was Team Rocket and some lousy thieves.

"Thanks Brock! We'll meet up with you afterwards!" Ash calls out as he and the other begin to run after the thieves leaving the girls fuming in annoyance.

Just before he leaves, Gary stops for a moment and smirks in success at the girls. He gives a two finger salute at them in a mocking matter, specifically at Misty who glares daggers at him. His brown eyes shines in arrogance.

"Ugh!" Misty exploded. "I am SO going to teach him a lesson with my mallet when he returns."

"We'll join you!" seconds Dawn and Leaf.

"Save the revenge for later you three and start helping these people," Brock said as he went to help the nearest person to him, who just so happens to be a beautiful young lady. Brock's "love" mood turns on and he was just about to proclaim his love towards the lady expect he snaps out of it when the three girls smacked him in the head.

"Focus!"

The small ghostly orb observes the surrounding area before it follows the four boys. It floated pass them and had finally got to the area where Team Rocket was following closely behind Margret and Felix.

Margret narrows her eyes in annoyance as she looks back at the trio that's been chasing them for a while now.

"How are they still chasing us?" she asks her partner who answers her without looking at her.

"I don't know but we'll lose them sooner or later. After all, Team Rocket is nothing compare to us, Team Dark." Suddenly an idea comes up to his head causing him to look at Margret. "Let's use our Pokémon to escape."

Margret nods her head in agreement. They reach for their poke ball on their belt and quickly enlarge it. They were just about to release their Pokémon when suddenly felt something wrap around their leg, pulling them back. This caused the two to fall face flat onto to the ground. In the process, Margret's grip on the velvet box containing the necklace loosens and the box was sent flying high in the sky.

"This is my chance!" Jessie said to herself and makes a run for the box while James thanks his Carnivine for the vine whip that stopped Margret and Felix.

"The box!" Margret yells out as she sees the box flying up to its climax before it begins to fall down again.

She tried to get out from the hold on her legs and was on all fours. Unfortunately for her, Jessie had decided to use her as a stepping stone and had jumped on her back to gain some extra height in her jump.

Ash and the guys had just arrived at the scene to see Jessie only inches away from the box containing the Motophous. They were just about to release their Pokémon when the most unexpected happens before her eyes.

Just when Jessie was close enough to the box to touch it with her finger tips, the box suddenly disappeared before her eyes when something snatched it from her hand. Jessie had no time to process what had just happened and could only blink in response before falling down quickly towards the ground thanks to gravity. She lets out a piercing scream during her journey down.

"What just happened?!" Ash yells out in surprise. Everything happened so fast that they couldn't see what exactly happened until the figure flap steadily in the sky. All attentions averts to the new figures that had entered the scene, a Salamence with its master riding on his back.

The girl had long brunette hair that was tied up in a high ponytail. She had a white tight tank top and a navy sleeveless collared jacket that was similar to a cape. The cape had a maroon interior and gold and silver design on the navy part of the cape, which is also the back side. For bottoms she had on a pair of black shorts. Hanging from her waist was an emerald belt where her poke ball and equipment was attached to. Her shoes were tall black lace up boots with bright blue lace. High tech black sunglasses masked the sapphire like eyes that she had. Her most noticeable feature was the light blue tribal tattoo on her left forearm.

At the sight of the girl, Margret and Felix instantly pale and their expression filled with fear. When her gaze cast upon them, they could already feel her cool glare despite not being able to see it.

"I'll give you one last chance to deal with those Rocket losers. You two better not fail," she commands them.

The two visibly gulp nervously as sweat ran down their foreheads. They knew what she was capable of doing and also knew how fearful she was despite her lack of emotions. Hell, her lack of emotions made her even more intimidating. Not wanting to experience her powers on themselves, the two immediately got up onto their feet. It was during then that they realize the vine whip on their foot had disappeared. Apparently Meowth, James and his Carnivine had abandon their task of keeping Margret and Felix down in order to catch Jessie, though they only managed to cushion her landing with their bodies.

"Yes Miss. Nightmare!" They said in unison and called out their Pokémon, getting ready to battle against Team Rocket.

After witnessing the verbal exchange between the girl, Margret and Felix, it was clear that the three of them were together. Since they were together, this told Ash, Gary, Drew and Paul that the girl was clearly up to no good and was their enemy. To make matters worse, that girl had the necklace in her possession. The four of them had to get the necklace back unharmed no matter what.

"Let's make things easy for all of us," Gary said to Nightmare in an attempt to come to a compromise. "Quietly hand us the necklace and we will go easy on you." He smirks. "We're really strong so if you want your Pokémon to be safe, you better listen."

"No way!" Ash protest, "As if I'm going easy on her! We came here to battle them not negotiate with her."

Nightmare narrows her eyes into a glare in disgust at Gary. In the background, she could hear a loud explosion followed by Team Rocket's catch phrase, signaling that Margret and Felix had just defeated Team Rocket.

"Are you crazy?" interrupts Margret's voice. She sends a glare to Gary. "Do you even know who you are facing?"

"It doesn't matter who you are. You're all just another lame evil organization just like Team Rocket," said Drew while smirking. "We can easily beat you up in no time."

"Do not compare us to those Rocket losers. We are on a far different level. Us, Team Dark, are the strongest of all."

Paul scoffs, "That's what they all say." The response made Margret's blood boil with anger. Even Felix who had always kept his cool under any circumstances, was starting to lose it. His gaze hardens and he could feel an itching urge to kick the four guys in the face, especially Paul. He clenches his fist to control his anger.

"Miss. Nightmare, please allow us to handle them, we will defend our Team's pride along with yours," Felix said, asking permission from Nightmare. His Hitmonlee that was used to defeat Team Rocket was by his side and was ready for battle. Margret too was ready along with her Breloom by her side.

"No," Nightmare said before jumping off her Salamence with the jewel box and another metal case in her hands. Even though her Salamence was at a height of at least fifteen feet above ground level, the girl showed no difficulties in her landing. She landed perfectly and steadily on both her feet while maintaining balance. "I will be battling them."

The air that she created was thick and heavy that everyone could feel a little tense under it. Drew, Paul, Gary and Ash tries to ignore it and not let it bother them as they prepare themselves for battle. However, before they could call out their Pokémon, Nightmare gives the two cases to Margret and Felix to protect until after the battle.

"You two better protect these cases no matter what," Nightmare warns them in a dangerous tone. Her next few words, were spoken to the two telepathically. 'The metal box contains an ancient artifact that is vital to the future of the team.' The two swallow heavily and their grips on the cases tighten ever so slightly.

"Understood, leave it to us," they reply fiercely in unison, almost in a military manner. Right after nodding her head, Nightmare leaves and turns her attention back to the guys just in time for them to release their Pokémon. While that happened, Margret had ordered her Breloom to use protect to create a protective barrier to not only protect them, but most importantly the items in their hands.

"Torterra, battle position," Paul said in a monotone, but fierce tone.

"Blastoise, let's go!" Gary says with a smirk on.

"Flygon, you're up," Drew says but not before doing his famous hair flip.

"Pikachu buddy, I choose you!" Ash says to his Pikachu on his shoulder. The little rodent said something to its trainer with determination in its eyes.

As soon as her opponents' Pokémon were out, Nightmare wastes no time to attack them. She didn't want to waste any more time than she already had with them. She needs to get the stolen goods back to her Lord, but specifically the artifact. Nightmare needs to finish it all within a few moves or two, which wouldn't be much of a problem.

"Draco meteor, follow by psychic."

Salamence obeys its master immediately. He opens his mouth to form an orange sphere while his whole body glows in the same color. The sphere was shot up high into the sky, like a blazing sun rising before exploding into multiple spheres of what appears to be light at first, but in reality were meteors. Psychic was used to encase the space rocks in a bright blue light as it began to fall. Although the meteors fell relatively fast when draco meteor is used, once combined with psychic, the space rocks fell at a speed that was five times faster than usually.

What happened next happened fast, too fast. Before the four Pokémon were able to dodge efficiently, they were hit by the enhanced meteors in little to no time. Since there was still many meteors left, the space rocks crashed into the ground creating an earthquake like tremble as well as a small dust storm.

Drew and the others brace themselves by shielding themselves with their arms to protect from any debris or dirt and tries to maintain their balance. At the sight, Margret and Felix were so grateful that they were protected by Breloom's barrier. What was happening didn't bother Nightmare much for that she stood in place with crossed arms as she stares at the storm with dull eyes. She had experience far worse events than this. As the storm ceases, the four guys immediately rush to their brutally defeated Pokémon's side.

Drew was the first to return his Pokémon back into its poke ball as the others, including Paul, spent some more time checking their Pokémon's state of wellbeing even though it was clear to them that they had to find a Poke Center as soon as possible. His emerald eyes glare intensely at the girl several feet in front of him. Before he could say any colorful words to the brunette, she disappears in a red glow. He blinks in surprise at the sight. Before things could process in his mind, Drew could feel a strong kick behind his knees, forcing him to go on his knees and hands. A grunt escaped his lips in surprise and alarm.

He gets up on his knees and makes an attempt to see who his attacker is. "What the hel-" he was silence when a strange material was used to chock him. His hands immediately went to the… actually he didn't know what it was. It was thick like a rope but it didn't feel like one at all but that didn't matter to him. He had to remove it and quick too; he was already finding it difficult to breathe, but he could still breathe. Drew throws his head back to see his attacker only to be surprised to see Nightmare. Not only that, but her sunglasses slid down a bit revealing her eyes. At the sight of her eyes, Drew immediately became enchanted by those eyes even though they were set into a glare.

Earlier Nightmare had teleported behind Drew without his knowledge and had formed a purple glowing rope like material in her hands with her powers. Using that, she puts it around Drew's neck in a strangling manner. She has no intentions of killing him and only wanted to give him a warning as well as a punishment for insulting Team Dark.

She lowers her head so that her lips were directly next to his ears. "Take this as a warning. If you or your little friends ever dis Team Dark again in my presence," her words were dangerous and they sent chills down Drew spin. He didn't know if the reason behind it was due to her warning or something else. If it wasn't due to the situation, then he probably would've blush at the close proximity of this girl. She smirks evilly and Drew could feel it against his ear. "I'll make sure you won't live another day," she continued. With that she releases her grip on the "rope" and teleports several feet away from to where Margret and Felix were.

"We need to get these items back to headquarter," she tells them as Breloom broke the barrier and she got the artifact back from Felix.

They nod their heads. "Understood."

Nightmare nods her head a bit and directs her attention to Salamence who had landed next to them.

"I'll give you two a ride back, so you can get on."

The two bows in gratitude. "Thank you Miss. Nightmare!" they said before getting onto her Salamence's back.

Nightmare sends one last look at Drew, who has been staring at her for a while now, not knowing what to say or do.

When he snaps out of it, he glares at her. "You're not going to get away with this, you will be caught."

She scoffs. "If that is the case I would've been caught years ago; after all," her hair changes into a golden blonde color from roots down. In addition she takes off her sunglasses but not before switching her eye color from sapphire into a mint green. "It's impossible to catch someone you can't recognize."

Drew's mouth drops slightly as his eyes widen a bit in surprise. "What…?" he was left speechless.

Nightmare smirks in amusement. "I have the power to alternate my appearance to whatever I want. You'll never know who I could look like; I could even look like someone you know." To prove her point, she alternates her appearance by changing her hair and eye color as she spoke. "I could have black hair and purple eyes, or teal hair with red eyes. How about a brunette with hazel eyes?"

At the last example, Nightmare looked a lot like Leaf and before he could even say her name, Gary took those words out of his mouth. However, his voice was muffled and so it seemed like he mispronounce Leaf's name.

"Wheavf?!"

It was not his voice that caught Drew attention, but they reason that it was muffled. For a moment he had forgotten about his friends until now. He directs his attention to his far right, to where the voice came from. He was appalled by the sight. His friends were all bound by the purple glowing "rope" of Nightmare and were hung up several feet above ground. If Drew recalls, he doesn't remember hearing them struggle but then again he was busy trying to breathe and to get the "rope" away from his neck. That was probably when she tied his friends. Drew supposed she tied his friend to prevent them from interfering while she "converse" with him.

His gaze met with Paul and the trainer yelled out a few a few intelligible words. Even though Paul's words where incomprehensible, Drew could tell that he was telling him to get them down.

Drew turns back to Nightmare and glare daggers at her. Nightmare saw the look in his eyes and could only smirk in amusement as she stood in triumph.

"Release my friends," Drew demands harshly.

"Humph, under normal circumstance I would not listen to you, but this is a special case." Nightmare nonchalantly snaps her fingers and immediately afterwards Drew could hear Ash, Paul and Gary yells as they came crashing face down to the ground. A string of groans and grunts followed shortly afterward.

Nightmare teleports onto her Salamence's back, who was already flying in the sky with Margret and Felix on his back. Without sparing the four a second look or saying anything, they left immediately for Headquarters as they flew through the sky in tremendous speed thanks to Salamence.

"Well that was a disaster," Gary comments as he slowly got up. The three of them weren't injured badly but most likely did receive bruises from their fall.

Ash quickly got up from the ground and the first thing he does is rush to Pikachu, who was lying on the ground still barely conscious from the battle. He silently thanked Nightmare for not harming his Pikachu when she tied the three of them.

"That's not important now," Ash said, his eyes never leaving his Pikachu. "We need to get to a Poke Center now."

The others tell how serious he was by the look on his face and the tone of his voice. They looked at each other and each nods their head as they come to a unanimous decision. Their Pokémon needed urgent care and they knew it.

"Okay, let's go. I remember that we passed the center when we arrived. If I remember correctly, the center is pretty close. We could make it in five or so minutes if we run the whole way," Gary said. His grip tightens on Blastoise's poke ball ever so slightly.

They all nod in response before they began running in the direction of the center as quickly as they can. They'll just need to let Brock and the girls know once their Pokémon get treatment.

Well I wrote this chapter to be extra long mostly because I needed to include the things that I did in the same chapter. I did change part of what it originally was though as part of the rewrite/editing process but kept some of the important stuff the same though. I didn't know how to describe Nightmare's tattoo, so the link for the design is on my profile.
