hello there! this is my first story!
Disclaimer: i do not own Vocaloid, Crypton and any songs and/or characters mentioned in this story.
It was a crisp fall morning. There were leaves cascading all around me. I could faintly hear the sound of cars passing as I walked along the path. It was unusually peaceful. I glanced at my watch and picked up the pace. I was heading to Crypton Studios.
I arrived there and went through the back entrance to avoid fans at the front. I just stepped into the doors to hear my name be called angrily "RIIIIIIIN!" my producer, Neru Akita screamed. I quickly shut the doors behind me and turned to face an angry Neru. "Where have you been?" she questioned impatiently. I nervously smiled and replied "I'm sorry, I was a little late." Neru walked over to me and dragged me up to the recording studios muttering about how I was lucky she was forgiving. Sometimes, being a famous singer is tough. I was currently going to start recording a song that will hopefully top the famous band, Vocaloid's new song. You see, I was part of a band called Crypton. Their rival was Vocaloid. I passed Teto, my co-worker and waved at her. "Hi Rin!" she replied cheerily. Neru opened the door to the recording room and I followed her in. she sighed and set down her papers, taking out her cell phone. "Rin, you can go in there and start recording Meltdown, okay?" I nodded and went in. I picked up the pair of headphones lying there and stepped in front of the microphone. I took a deep breath and sang my heart out.
I opened my eyes and looked to Neru, who gave a thumbs up. I smiled and placed the headphones gentlly on the stand and stepped out. "That was great, Rin! That song is sure to beat Vocaloid's new song, World is Mine!" she stated enthusiastically. I sighed and thanked her while she was finishing up editing the song. I walked out and bumped into Gumi. She looked at me and smiled "Hey there Rinny! How did the song go?" she asked. "I think it went pretty well, hopefully it will be a top seller!"
We high fived and I walked down the hallway and to the elevator. I pressed the button and waited for a minute. The doors lazily opened and I stepped in. I pushed the 'ground floor' button and sighed. Vocaloid has been on my mind, lately. There were six people in the band. The main singer was Miku, and on the drums was Luka. Meiko was on keyboard while Kaito was bass. And their guitarist was Len. I thought of how popular Miku was, and then a strange thing happened. An image flashed in my mind. Meiko was dead on the floor in a pool of blood, while a knife was lying next to her. I shook my head at the thought, but the image was still there, as if it was imprinted into y mind. The image should have been disturbing, but for some odd reason, I giggled a bit. The elevator dinged and I stepped out into the lobby. When I walked outside there were no fans, thank god. I hailed a cab and got in, the image of Meiko's dead body still on my mind.
