'Thoughts'
Chapter 1
Yesterday I was diagnosed with cancer, and my mom went berserk. And to make things worse the doctor didn't know how much longer I was going to live.
I was daydreaming during English class about all the things the doctor said, but the thing that kept coming back was I wasn't going to live much longer.
"Michiko. . . . Psst Michiko." My best friend, Kami, whispered. But I didn't hear her. "Earth to Michiko." Kami whispered a little louder, and this time right in my ear. That got my attention.
"What?" I whispered back.
Ring, Ring
"Ok class has ended, have a nice weekend," our teacher said.
"Kami, I have to tell you something," I said as soon as we got out of the building.
"Dose it have to do with why you were zoning off in English?" Kami asked.
"Well yes, you see I was diagnosed with cancer." I said looking down.
"WHAT!" Kami exclaimed, "When?"
"Yesterday," I said softly. Suddenly my head started to spin and my vision blurred.
"Michiko, are you ok?" Kami asked urgently. She kept talking, but I could not hear her. I thought I heard the words call and 911, but I wasn't sure. The first thought that came to mind was oh god I'm going to die.
~Kami's Prov~
"Michiko, are you ok?" I asked the fallen Michiko, "should I call 911? Hey Michiko wake up!" I said desperately as I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.
"Hello, how may we be of service?" A woman asked.
"Yes, please I need an ambulance quick." I said urgently.
"Ok please tell us your name, phone number, where you are at, and why you need the ambulance." She replied.
"My name is Kami. My number is 768-731-0730. I am at Angel Wings high school. And I need the ambulance because my friend Michiko just fainted and I think she's dieing because she has cancer and I'm really scared." I said into the receiver making sure to tell her everything of importance.
"Ok we will send out one now. Do you want to stay on the phone until they get there?" The women said formally.
"No I will be fine thanks."
"Bye." The women said hanging up.
'Ok calm yourself Kami and call Michiko's mom.' I thought.
"Hello," Michiko's mom said picking up the phone.
"Hello, this is Kami and umm. . . . Kami just fainted and I have a bad feeling that she is gonna die!" I said starting to panic.
Beep
'She hung up on me!' I thought. Then I heard the siren of an ambulance. 'Good they're here.' I thought as a sigh of relief passed my lips. I looked to see a crowd of people around looking at Michiko, and the ambulance turning around the corner. My brother Kenji walked over to me.
"What happened?" He asked with concern. Kenji really liked Michiko and I knew that was why he was concerned.
"Michiko was diagnosed with cancer yesterday and now she fainted. I have a bad feeling that today was her last day in this world." I said looking up at my brother who was a good foot taller. The ambulance had gotten to us and someone walked over to me.
"Are you Kami?" He asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"This is Michiko?" He asked.
"Yes." I replied again.
