Counting the days that pass me by
Jade West didn't believe in many things, but one thing she did believe in was her and Beck. Not anymore. Tears come easier to her now, but she doesn't let anyone see them. She didn't know where everything went wrong, it all happened so fast. She got to 10. He never opened the door. She can tell you how many days since that happen, but she's not counting the days or anything.
I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old

The last three years were just pretend

She hears her friends words. "You two will be back together in no time." "You'll find someone else." "Everything happens for a reason." She doesn't want to hear it. She doesn't know how to be single. She hasn't been single for three years. She remembers what life was like before Beck. She didn't like that life.

She saw it. They don't know she did. She almost wishes she didn't see it, but see did. Beck tried to kiss Tori. Tori rejected him. That was a hard slap in the face. He always told her he never liked Tori that way. Maybe Jade had it all wrong the whole time. Maybe Tori wasn't the problem in their relationship. Maybe it was Beck. Reality hit her, the kiss hurt to see but it made things clear. It was time to say goodbye to Beck Oliver.

Saying Goodbye is easier said than done. She still finds it hard to go without seeing him. Whenever their eyes meet she swears her heart is going to beat out of her chest. She gets so easily lost in his eyes, she goes to a different world that makes her happy. That's a feeling that she hasn't felt in a while. It's a world where she and Beck are together and happy without a care in the world. She loves being in that world But she won't let herself enjoy it anymore. It's not right. She can't take him back, not this time.

She wants all of him. She wants everything that he is, but she doesn't need him. She's going to stick to her plan. No matter how bad it hurts because honestly nothing can ever hurt more than seeing him kiss another girl. She won't ever take him back. No matter what.

She will always love him thought, that is for sure. He was her first love and no one could take that from her. He brought hope into her life when it seemed impossible. He was the light in her world of darkness, but that light burned out. Ever since she said goodbye to him she's had a thing for astronomy. Beck's always been her shooting star.
