How Do You Feel About Dancing?
"Sweetie, how do you feel about dancing?"
The Doctor turned away from TARDIS console, a look of total confusion on his face. "Dancing? What?"
"Dancing. Yes."
He visibly struggled for a moment to gain clarity, "Oh. Right. Dancing. Sure. I like to dance. It's fun. I think I dance well."
Amy snorted and grabbed Rory's hand, "Come on, Rory. Let's go see what else we can find to play with. Library still off limits?"
"Yes! You'll read the novels I told you not to, I know you two. Go play dress up or something."
Rory looked at The Doctor with wide, unbelieving eyes as Amy grinned wickedly and dragged him away. He may have even mouthed help as he disappeared out the door way. The Doctor wasn't paying attention. He had turned his head back to meet River's eyes again. "Dancing?"
"What did you think I meant?"
He paused, "Dancing. What else could you have meant? Is there another meaning for dancing? Nah. I knew what you were talking about. I was just…distracted." He walked over to her, "Why dancing?"
"There's this wonderful party on the planet Traxelon, and I'm sure you could get us in. I haven't been to a good party in ages."
"Why not just go yourself? I'm sure that lipstick of yours could work wonders."
She smiled, "It'll be fun. Now, be honest, what did you think I meant by dancing?"
"Have you ever met someone named Captain Jack Harkness?"
She smiled at him, "Spoilers."
"Well, when I met him I think the group of us may have given dancing a whole new meaning. This was one of the me's you never met."
"The group of you?"
"Me, Jack and…," he paused, then continued, "Rose. You don't know them."
She looked at him with a sad smile, "You still miss her."
"I miss all of them." he returned to the console, and fiddled with a few buttons.
"You'll miss me?"
He smiled, "Spoilers."
She grinned, "Spoilers." She stood up, "So, dancing. Let's get Amy and Rory and go have a night on the town."
"You're not planning anything are you?"
Her smile got wider, "Spoilers."
He sighed, "PONDS! Pick out nice dress up outfits; we're going to a party."
River Song smiled, "Thank you, sweetie."
"Ooh, what sort of party?" Amy poked her head back into the room.
"Black and white ball. Tell you what, sweetie, you put on that wonderful outfit you wore to their wedding, and Amy and I will find something. And Rory…Well, Amy and I will find something."

"River, how many people here want to kill you?" Rory yelled as they ran, no, sprinted towards the TARDIS.
"Plenty, I'm sure. People don't often like the lipstick bit. I have no clue why." She grinned, "Pity."
"What happened here last year? Did I have anything to do with it?"
River grinned at The Doctor, "Spoilers."
"Doctor? Rory? River?" Amy asked, opening the TARDIS door as Rory raced in past her. "I leave you three alone for twenty minutes to go change my dress and you manage to get a mob chasing after you." She glanced out the door as the other two entered the TARDIS. "Do they have pitchforks?" She asked as she closed the door.
"And torches!" The Doctor replied, as he and River set to work moving the TARDIS before it was set on fire.
"How in the world did that happen?" Rory asked, panting from across the room.
The Doctor and River glanced across the console at the other, and a slow smile spread over their lips, "Spoilers."
Light, very light, but with points of surprising un-brevity. Not fluffy, as such, but light. PLEASE REVIEW! Reviews are sunshine and smiles to a writer!
