Volcanoes

Simon was trying his best to get to sleep while he was in his Ganmen, Lagann. But, he was worried because he was pressured, he was the key for the operation to capture Dai-Gurren, and defeat Thymilph and Viral. He looked at his Core Drill, feeling tense, and he grasped it, starting to feel calm. And he listened to the silence. The calm silence. That silence was broken when something knocked on his head shield of Lagann's.

"Wah!" shouted Simon out of shock.

It was Yoko, the beautiful, red-haired girl who he was attracted to.

"Oh, so this is where you were" She said

"Yeah...I couldn't sleep for some reason though."

"Well, thats because you have a lot of pressure on you."

Simon looked up at the sky. "Yeah, thats a reason too."

Simon suddenly had many flashbacks with him and Yoko.

"Yoko, you know, after all we have been through, I-" He was cut off becuase the volcano in the back erupted.

"Those are volcanoes, those mountains shooting out flames. Ron told me" Yoko said in amazement.

"Yoko, as...as I was saying." Simon interrupted.

"What is it Simon?"

"We've been through a lot...and I was thinking...you and I...could," Simon was blushing beyond belief.

"Simon...." Yoko said.

"You and I could maybe...do something...together when this is all over...because...I lov...like you a lot" Simon looked down at the ground awaiting rejection.

Yoko was just standing there. She was thinking of about what she was going to do when she went over to Kamina. She thought for a second which seemed like an hour to her. She was thinking of her and Kamina, not Simon, before before this moment. But now, she was thinking of Simon, and not Kamina. She liked him back.

"Ok, I knew this was going to happen. I'll just try to forget about this and-" He was stopped in the middle of his sentence. He wasn't stopped by his will, he was stopped by Yoko's kiss.

The two teens were kissing under the moon and the starry skies. Simon didn't want this to end. He wished it would go on forever. But, time goes by and nothing lasts. The volcano's eruption broke the kiss. Yoko was looking at Simon with her dazzling yellow eyes.

"Its almost time for our attack." Yoko replied.

"Ok." said Simon.

Yoko walked away towards where Kamina is. Before she walked into the bushes, she turned around to Simon and said, "Simon, I like you a lot, too."

Simon kicked back and screamed in his head 'YES!'. Now, nothing can stop him now.
