SKATING ON THIN ICE
CHAPTER 1
Tears were drifting down the Hastings face as her body shoke with a sensation of sadness racing through her body at a rapid speed. Sobs erupted from her mouth as he pressed the cloth to her slightly deep cut. There was a little bit of blood dripping down her bare leg. Leaving a dark red stain on her leg as she tried to slightly rub away the shade of color.
He pressed the dark black cloth with more pressure against the mark. He leans forward and plants a peck on her cheek trying to call the girl down a bit, who was still quite shaken up from the incident that happened a hand full of hours before. "I feel powerless, Spence." Toby whispers way below a regular spoken way.
"Toby..." she whispers back at him with sigh peering up at his sad topaz eyes. She bites her lips as he leans a couple of steps forwars to inspect the wound on her thigh. Earlier that day, her and Emily had been checking out an abandon cabin in the middle of nowhere. When going through the building she had misplaced one of her steps and slipped on a piece of smooth glass slicing open her thigh. She landed on her knee and fell forward hitting her thigh on a sharp piece of glass sticking sharp up stabbing right into her perfect skin.
"No." he holds a hand up stopping her from continuing the explanation in some wierd way he didnt actually want to know what happened. He felt like if he heard the word he would instantly think its his fault for not being the hero and protecting her from this dangerous person. If he could he would stay up all night long and be by Spencer's side not leaving her a second alone. "Please... I cant here this." he pleads cleaning her cut a little bit more before applying some ointment on the scratch running from her mid thigh to the top of her knee almost. Toby has insisted on taking her to a hospital, but she kept saying if he did so then there would be to many inquirements made by parents and worried doctors.
He finally agreed with her after many words spoken between the duo. She swepts her hair to the side while licking her bottom lip which was as dry as the deserts across Arizona. He peers up locking his very light blue eyes to mahogany eyes that were almond shaped with a pinch of confusion still in them. "I decided to do something." he finally lets out after having several minutes of quietness between the two. He knew how stubborn Spencer could be sometimes and knew that would never get to any doctor today or tomorrow. Her eyebrow arches upward trying to figure out what he was currently talking about.
"What?"
"I enrolled at the Harrisburg Police Accademy." he finally answers her question mumbling a couple of incohererent expressions at the end making Spencer look even more confused then she did to began with. He pins the ends of the wrap together applying a tiny bit of pressure to it trying not to hurt the woman he loves dearly.
"Why?" she questions she didn't understand why he would do something like this. For some reason she could never picture her boyfriend as a cop for Rosewood Police Department. One reason she hated this idea the most was because every cop was corrupted and she was afraid that it would rub off of them and latch onto Toby who was the moat loyal person she knows.
Thank you for reading :D I hope you guys enjoyed this very short. Remember this is an Alternate Universe. This is going to go deep into the layers of their skin to find their true emotion about each other. This couple will be going on thin ice sometimes, but I will make sure not to completely crack the ice in half and let them fall through into the cold icy water.
Reviews please. :) Update will be next week sometime. If I get 5 reviews, then update will be a little bit earlier. Maybe... tomorrow. *Giant Grin*
