"OK, I think I got it. If we take this next exit, make an illegal U-turn, then head back on the freeway we'll eventually hit the bridge again, right?" Paige thought out loud as she drove herself and Emily to their destination. They were headed to meet Hanna for the first time since their permanent move to California last week.

"If you make a U-turn we'll just end up where we are now. I knew I should have driven." Emily sighed. "We always get lost when you drive." She stared out the window with her elbow resting on the edge of the car door and the palm of her hand on her chin.

Paige started to slow down with the flow of traffic when out of the peripheral of her eye she saw some cars suddenly come to a standstill. She stepped hard on the brakes and both Paige and Emily suddenly flew forward, restrained by their seat belts. All she heard was Emily screaming for her life.

"Oh, god. I think I might have died just now." Emily said clinging to her seat with both her eyes shut tight. She opened her eyes to glare at Paige who met hers with an apologetic look. Paige always tried to be careful when driving with Emily considering her past with cars and the accidents that followed.

[15 minutes later]

"I still can't believe you left the apartment without directions." Emily glanced at her phone as Paige continued to drive. Since they had time to spare while sitting in the L.A. traffic Emily decided to look up the restaurant on her phone, much to Paige's dismay. "Make a right at the next light."

"We really need to get a new GPS." Paige expertly made a right turn.

"We wouldn't need a new GPS if you didn't 'accidentally' knock over and break the last GPS." Paige put her right hand over heart looked at Emily with a feign shocked expression.

"That GPS lady was asking for it!" Paige exclaimed. "I could only stand hearing her tell me what to do for so long. She was getting bossy. I'd rather be living life on the edge." She parked the car when she saw their destination and turned the ignition off. She turned her body towards Emily who looked defeated.

"Your idea of living life on the edge has gotten us lost in L.A. for 25 minutes.I'm hungry and I'm tired and I just want to go home and cuddle on the couch with a movie. But here we are because you missed Hanna." Emily said in one breath.

"Babe, breathe." Paige rubbed Emily's arm with her right and brought her other to turn Emily's face towards her. "I know how stressful this week has been. I invited Hanna out so that we both could take a little break. See some familiar faces. It's been a hard adjustment, especially since we've both lived in Rosewood for so long. But we'll get through it. Emily nodded, closing her eyes and basking in Paige's warm hands. "We'll do whatever you want after this. We can watch a movie, sleep, cuddle. But let's just make sure this dinner goes well first. Have a little fun while we still can."

Paige let go of Emily and started for the car door when Emily stopped her. "Wait, I forgot something." Paige turned around expectantly. But Emily just sat there gazing at her in awe.

Paige stared at Emily waiting for her to say something. "What? Why are you looking at me like that." Emily shook herself from her thoughts to lean in and give Paige a quick kiss. Paige smiled. "Nothing, I just really love you."
