It was a dark, quiet night. Jaypaw was just about to sneak out of camp when he heard soft footsteps behind. He sniffed the air. Hollypaw!
"What do you want Hollypaw?" meowed Jaypaw
"I just wanted to know where you were going,"
"Why does it matter to you," hissed Jaypaw.
"Well, its just… its just that your blind."
"Just because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't take care of my self!" yelled Jaypaw. Jaypaw was about to lose his last hair if people kept reminding him that he was blind.
"Well then can I go just this ounce to see what you do and if I think its safe then I'll never bother you about it again," pleaded Hollypaw
"Fine you can come, but you can't keep asking stupid questions."
When Jaypaw reached the shore of the lake that lay on the outer edge of Thunderclan's
Territory he abruptly turned right. He sniffed the cold ground until he found the tree that a log was buried under. When he unburied it he rubbed his paws across it. Feeling the scratches he recognized the four big scratches and three small ones. They always reminded him of Rock. One of the cats that lived in the forest before the clan cats arrived.
"Jaypaw tell me how you found out that you, Lionpaw, and me were going to have the power of the stars."
Jaypaw went into the long story about how he found out that his siblings and him were going to have a great destiny. Before he knew the sun was rising over the trees. His fur was starting to heat up. He wished he could stay, but he knew people would worry about where he was.
"Come on Hollypaw. We better get back to camp before someone realizes we're gone."
