At the Prideland, Simba was thinking about how he can protect Kiara from getting hurt.

Simba said, "Nala, can I ask you something?"

Nala said, "Sure, what is it dear?"

Simba said, "I been thinking about what happen after Kiara went to the Outland after I told her not too."

Nala said, "It okay Simba. She is just a cub."

Simba said, "But we need someone to protect her. I'm busy with the other animals out in the field."

Nala said, "Well, why not have a lion guard?"

Simba said, "Hmm, I guess I could."

Nala said, "And I know just the person."

So Nala took Simba to where he can find a lion guard. Meanwhile, with Kion, he is playing with Kiara.

Kion said, "So sis, when you wondered off into the Outland, did you meet some cubs?"

Kiara said, "Well, I did met someone. His name is Kovu. I'm not sure when I'll meet him again."

Kion said, "I still can't believe dad would keep you away from him."

Kiara said, "He was just trying to protect me. Plus, the Outland is pretty dangerous."

Then they both hugged each other. The next day, Rafiki came by and gave Kion an application to become a lion guard.

Rafiki said, "Okay Kion, you just need to sign here, here, and here and your all set."

Kion said, "Wow I can't believe it. My first day as a lion guard."

Rafiki said, "Make us proud son."

Kion said, "Thank Rafiki."

Rafiki said, "Oh, I also have another suggestion. In case you need a helper, find another animals to become your lion guard."
