"You know Jack, you could actually help me out here

A/N: Just something that popped into my head and then right out onto this paper! Very short, but then that's the way I like it!

Disclaimer: I don't own Jack and Ianto but I do own everything else in the story. And I totally own my husband.

"You know Jack, you could actually help me out here."

"But you're doing such a great job!" Jack turned back around from where Ianto was constructing. "Isn't your Tad doing such a great job putting together your new home?"

Ianto rolled his eyes as he continued to screw things together. "I wish you wouldn't call me their Tad."

"Oh don't worry boys," Jack crooned, "Daddy still loves you even if Tad is being mean."

"I'm not being mean I'm just...damnit Jack! They're fish! I'm not their Tad," Ianto said while he pushed the lid down on the aquarium, "And why do we need those blue rocks at the bottom, they're just making the water turn blue. And that will probably just kill the fish."

"Don't say things like that around them!" Jack exclaimed holding his hands over the bag,
"besides Ianto, they are mostly boys so they should get blue rocks."

Ianto turned around with an incredulous look on his face.

"This is a really odd time for you to be getting hung up on gender stereotypes," came the dead pan reply, "and I wish you wouldn't force genders on our fish."

"Well I have too, you see, here are Phillipe and Henry, they're in a relationship, Phillipe is the one with the mustache on his face, Lucy and Rickey are together, but I really feel bad for her, because Rickey's a mean little guy. See, Lucy is the one with the red on her head. I got that from-"

"Yes Jack, I understand where you got the idea for Lucy from. I've seen that show too."

"And then the last one's I'm naming mini-Jack and mini-Ianto. They're together too. They live under the bridge over there near where those plants are going to grow."

"If they grow," Ianto mumbled.

"Pessimist," Jack replied while he poked the bag with the six fish, "Come on guys, don't die now."

"And, viola!" Ianto said after a few more minutes of silence. Jack looked over to see the lights turned on in the aquarium.

"Now don't leave the light on for more than a few hours or algae will begin to grow. And see this latch over here is for feeding and adding new fish to the aquarium. And over here is the switch for-"

"Okay, I get it, I'm not allowed to touch the fish's home," Jack said with a growl, "but wait, how am I going to get my hand in to pet the fish?"

"Jack they are fish," Ianto said in a voice that was obviously wearing thin, "you don't need to pet them." The two men stared at each other for a minute until Jack turned back to the bag.

"Don't worry boys, your Tad is just a big meanie."
