"I'm bored!" Ron moaned.
Hermione rolled her eyes. Ron was always bored or hungry and both made him very irritable. Besides, its not like they weren't doing anything. They were trying to find horcruxs, and Hermione thought, that was definitely something.
"You, know," Harry said. "I'm bored too. We really haven't done much lately."
Hermione was slightly annoyed. They were doing something. And it was very important. Gosh, boys were so stupid. But, she reasoned, it wouldn't do much good to make these boys angry. "Okay," she sighed. "What should we do?"
"I don't know," Ron whined. "You're the smart one. What do you think we should do?"
'Maybe, you know, continue to try and find a horcrux?' she thought but she didn't dare say that out loud, especially since he had called her smart. Hermione was a sucker for flattery. "Um…we could play 'Would You Rather?'"
"What in Merlin's name is that?" asked Ron.
"It's a game I used to play with my parents on long car rides when I was younger. It not that hard. You pick two things and ask the others which they would rather do or have." Hermione explained. "Okay, I'll start. Would you rather…Wear the locket for a month or go a week without any food?" She knew it was a stupid question. But in her defense, she had never been good at this game.
"Wear the locket," Harry replied quickly.
"That is not a fair question!" protested Ron. "I choose neither."
"The game doesn't work that way Ronald. You have to choose," said Hermione exasperatedly.
"Fine. No food. Its not like it would be much of a difference anyway."
Hermione sighed. Of coarse Ron would say something like that. Maybe this game wasn't such a good idea… "Okay. Harry, its your turn."
Harry paused a minute to think. "Um…Would you rather…Have Snape or Lockheart for our Defense teacher?"
"Lockheart," Hermione said blushing.
"Oh, that's thick, seeing as he hasn't got a memory. I choose Snape. He's an ugly, slimy, biased, git but at least he can teach us. " Ron said. "Now, its my turn! Hermione, would you rather kiss me or Harry?" he said with a smirk.
"I-well…That is not a fair question!" she said, knowing if she let Ron know how much she wanted to kiss him she would never hear the end of it.
"The game doesn't work that way Hermione. You have to choose," Ron said quoting her.
Hermione sighed, really regretting bringing up this game.
