It was a lazy summer Saturday afternoon at Stark tower, and unusually quiet for a place housing the Avengers, Loki, and the two teenage sisters Fury had them babysitting. The Bifrost had been rebuilt and Thor was spending the day in Asgard. Tony and Bruce were tinkering in the lab. Clint and Natasha were - actually nobody knew - probably in the air vents somewhere.

Hailey had begged Steve for an art lesson. Steve had set up a makeshift classroom and the fourteen-year-old was seated beside him at the kitchen table, surrounded by art supplies and hanging on every word.

Devon was leaning against the floor-to-ceiling windows, yawning as she watched the people below. Loki wandered in and set his sights on the sixteen-year-old. Smirking, he strode over and sat in front of her.

"Time, I think, for a lesson." Loki announced. Devon looked up at him curiously.

"If someone steals to save the life of another, should they be punished?" Loki asked.

"Well.." Devon began.

"No." Loki interrupted, tilting his head back slightly and holding up one finger.

"Think it over. I shall tell you when you may speak." Devon frowned slightly at that but was silent.

"You may speak." Loki announced after a moment. At some point the lesson degenerated into cuddling while discussing ethics and psychology.

Meanwhile the art class had moved to the couch where Steve was giving a lecture on art during the thirties and forties to a drowsy Hailey.

"Am I boring you?" Steve asked, noticing Hailey's frequent yawns.

"No! It's really interesting!" Hailey replied emphatically, begging Steve to continue. Steve, ever the forties gentleman, happily obliged.

An hour later Tony emerged from the lab in search of coffee and found both students - and their teachers - curled up and fast asleep. He didn't have the heart to wake them.
