By: Lily Watters
Summary: Something more malevolent than the Dark Arts is upon the Wizarding World this year…Join Harry, Ron, & Hermione for their seventh and final year at Hogwarts and come along for one of the darkest adventures you'll ever encounter. (H/Hr eventually…Please R&R…no flames)

Author's Note to Servatis…: Will be H/Hr eventually. I preferred this to be more of an action/drama/romance fic. I wanted to see HP&co in a new way…I couldn't find many on FF.Net, so I decided to write it myself! :) Please R&R! Constructive criticism welcomed only!

Chapter 1: Pluvialis
Prologue
The skies were dark and ominous. A storm was brewing in the East. The trees danced with the
winds to the song of thunder and the sharp, crude chatter of raindrops battering the castle's
foundation. Lightning struck the castle's highest tower and echoes of brilliant flashes of lightning
filled the darkest shadows of the citadel. A fell voice could be heard upon the air…a brew of
whispering incantations and wretched curses…seamlessly intermingled with the winds' song of
lament.
Darkness was here.
The spirits of the White Forest were awoken from their peaceful slumber by vicious threats from
an evil conjurer off in the distance…
"Servatis….a…periculum………" they cried, their voices taken away by the wind,
"Servatis…a…maleficum…………….." (Save us from danger, save us from evil…)
But something heard their desperate cry.
A pale golden light lingered by the tops of the trees, somewhere to the West. It had immense
beauty even for how its presence was barely noticed. Soon the cursed voice of the
Necromancer faded away, leaving the maddened storm to die. His malevolent whispers soon
were only severed syllables now lost in the angry winds. Short bursts of fiery wind and enraged
thunder shook the sky, but the light, no longer pale and dim, was slowly covering its entire
enemy's stronghold.
It was dark no more.
Evil has yet another plan to regain it's strength…
but fate has a way to thwart it…
Author's note to Chapter 1: Pluvialis:
I decided that the first chapter should be similar to a prologue to get the feeling of how dark, menacing, and evil I want this fiction to be…
It's basically showing the effects of good & evil (it kind of reminded me of Voldemort and Dumbledore, but to each his own…) and how it can be true in any story and in real life. Not just Harry Potter.
As I was writing this, it just so happened on coincidence that a pretty major thunderstorm seemed to be brewing right above my house… Imagine that… :)
Yeah, it was kind of, er, scary—now that you mention it! Although, it did make me finish the prologue with ease! But also—I am writing this at 4:30AM, so maybe that could do it too! It also helps to be listening to Evanescence's instrumental song, "Eternal" from their freshman album Origin, while I'm writing. The song has a thunderstorm in it and everything…it is very, very magical and runs an approx. 7:22. Take a listen on my website in the 'Extras' section!
As I tend to write, well, basically my thoughts here :)--and I really shouldn't, I advise you to check out my homepage!
Check out my other fics as well!
Cheers!
