So this is my sorry excuse for poetry. This is honestly my first serious attempt, and I'm almost positive it sucks, but what can you do? I had inspiration, I wrote it down, and this is what happened.

Anyway, please enjoy! Annabeth's POV in the moments before, during, and after their fall.

"Fall with Me"

I thought my quest was over

When you came in with the sun.

The statue gleamed its beauty

As they raised it up as one.

Who would look down to see the ground

If it led to the pit of Hell?

My mother's enemy's work unraveling;

No, we shouldn't dwell.

The webs are snapping faster

As the rock floor starts to shake.

You glance down, notice the strand.

"Hey, what's that?"

Too late.

.

I slip then I slide,

I fall and I cry.

Then you're there to pull me up,

But oops! Your strength is not enough.

Now we're both dangling from the edge.

I shout, "Let me go!"

You yell, "Not a chance."

He makes you a promise,

An oath to your plan –

He sees what you're thinking

Before even I can

Then we agree,

"As long as we're together"

And though it sounds horrible,

I can't think of anything better.

With a rush of air,

We slip to the dark.

I guess Athena

Has truly left her Mark.

.

So I sit here thinking, 'Wow',

As you lie there asleep,

'What would I be now,

If you didn't Fall with Me?'
