The Real Reason
Franco has been locked up for all his crimes in Shadybrook Sanitarium. This is a conversation between him and his doctor.
"How are you feeling today Mr. Franco?" asked the doctor.
"Oh would you shut it with the pleasantries. You really don't care how I am. Ask me what you need to ask so I can go eat. Today is tapioca pudding day in the café. I just love that stuff." Franco said.
"Okay, what don't you tell me about Jason?"
"There's so many things that I can tell you about Jason. What do you want to know?"
"Why did you go after Jason?"
"Simple. A woman."
"A woman?"
"Yes, you see everybody thinks that I was after Jason because he is a mob hit man but that's not the real reason. No, the real reason is a certain brunette that we have in common and it's not Sam. Sam is so blah. I will never understand how he fell for such a whore like her. The brunette that I am talking about is intellectual, amazing, sexy, and most importantly she has a big heart. She was my girlfriend before she went back to Port Charles to help save Jason. When I met her she was so heartbroken and he is the one that did that to her. I guess that's why I could never understand why she went to help him. If it was up to me, I would have let him die. He hurt her so badly I wanted him to feel some of her pain. You know she was supposed to come back to me and Paris but that didn't happen. She made up some bull about her family and her hometown, but I knew differently. She was hoping that Jason would leave that witch of a fiancé but he didn't and she made the biggest mistake of her life when she decided to get involved with that Drake guy."
"Why didn't you go after Patrick?"
"If you hadn't interrupted me, you have found out that I did."
"How?"
"With the help of my sister Blair, but you probably know her better as Lisa Niles. Unfortunately my sister was even more consumed with getting her one true love than I was so she deviated from the plan and wound up right here in the nut house first and then getting herself killed by going after Patrick a second time."
"We can talk about Lisa or Blair another time. I am interested in why you felt like you needed to do all of this for the brunette woman. Who is she by the way?"
"Robin. Her name is Robin. She never loved me like she loved Jason or Stone; no one will ever get that kind of love from her. No matter how much she preaches separate not second or third or fourth, I know the truth. Stone died so he really isn't so much of an obstacle but Jason is alive and well. He is a reminder to all men that are with Robin that they could never compete with him or their love they once shared. They will always have a connection to each other that will never be severed. Even when she was lying in my arms at night, I knew her heart and soul was with him. I have never wanted anything more than I want Robin's love but Jason has her love. That's the real reason that Jason had to die. That's all I have to say on the matter. Time for some tapioca pudding."
