- A Letter To Mother -
Dear Mother,
Today's Mother's Day. I'm not sure if we had that holiday back on the Moon,
but I hope we did. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I still think
of you, wherever you are. I have thought about you so much through the
last years. I wish I could remember more about you, but I know that you
meant for it to be this way.
Mother, thank you for everything you did for me - for all of us. I
wish you could be here with us now. I wish I could introduce you
to all of the new friends I've made, too. I know I would never
have had this life if it wasn't for your sacrifice.
Mother, I hope I get to see you again soon, even if it's
in my dreams. I love you so much. Thank you.

Usagi wiped away the tears from her eyes as hastily put down her pen. She had meant to continue writing, but the tears wouldn't seem to stop. She sighed quietly, trying not to be too loud. She took a deep breathe and kissed the sheet of pink paper. She had thought of Queen Serenity more than anyone knew. There many times she had wished for her original mother's presence, even though she had never said anything outloud. She sighed, and folded the paper up. Of course she didn't want anyone to see this, even Luna. "I wish you could read this" she thought, a small yet sad smile creeping over her face. She sighed, then decided to open up the letter one more time. To her utter shock, the words on the paper had changed.
Dear Serenity,
My darling, I am so happy that you have found happiness
in this life, and that you have not forgotten me. I am so
proud of you. Please know I have been watching over you
and everyone, too. I love you so much my dearest daughter.

After finishing, Usagi remembered to exhale. "Thank you, Mother. Thank you."
