The Elysian Fields were great….. except that I don't deserve it. I hosted a damn Titan! I don't deserve to be sitting here eating and drinking like a king while Percy, Annabeth and Thalia are out there putting their lives at stake every day to stop Gaia.
Yeah we know all about that here, my father, Hermes, brings The Olympus Daily every morning. From Athena's plotting to Zeus' whoring around, it has everything, even a demigod section. I've read all about Jason Grace, and how he and Piper and Leo saved Hera. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Thalia has a brother. I hope that he comes out of this alive, I'm not sure that Thalia could handle losing him again.
I've also read about Percy's adventure at Camp Jupiter. That Squid Spawn always comes out the hero huh? I can't help but feel an awkward sort of pride, I helped him out that first week at camp, taught him sword fighting and other survival skills, and while it may have been under false pretenses, I came to care for the goober. Like a little brother I never got, I was sad to betray him along with Annabeth. Annabeth… she's in for some deep crap. If Athena gave her the- Oops shouldn't give anything away now should I?
I have developed a better relationship with my father as well. We talked about my mom, apparently now that the Oracle has moved on to Rachel Elizabeth Dare my mom, May is all better. Hermes told her that I died a hero's death, bullcrap, but she said she knew because she had seen it all before. I'm glad that she can live her life now without being weighed down by me or the Oracle. Definitely me.
Dad tells me that a few gods have betrayed Olympus and joined with Gaia. Just minor ones, nothing major, but if enough of them join forces…. Well I've seen what angry gods can do, even if they are just minor ones. He also told me that the Percy and Jason and crew must travel to Rome and Greece to find the Doors of Death and close them. They also need to find Nico….. I hope he can help them find the doors, but what my dad has been telling me, some horrendous things are waiting for them.
As I babble to you, I'm walking towards the end of Elysium. I have been doing that lately because if I walk right to the edge, I can see the glowing EXIT sign with the door wide open. My dad said that if I decided to leave I wouldn't be brought back. He's giving me a second chance. Do I take it?
