Night had fallen over the Sacaen Plains, leaving the tribe to sit around the fire, watching the flame shadows as they moved across their dancer's face. She finished her current dance with a slow twirl, the flowing design of her clothes following her every move.
The audience applauded and cheered as she took a small curtsy, a smile gracing her lips, ruby eyes showing her pleasure in their enjoyment. One man from the group stood, taking her hand gently. He led her to the horses that were grazing along with the tented houses of the Kutolah tribe, lifted her into the air, and placed her on the back of his stallion, swinging onto the magnificent beast himself.
They exchanged a glance, before cantering off to a far off hill where they sat silently, looking at the brilliant stars above the plains.
For Rath and Ninian, words were unneccessary.
They only needed each other, just as the stars only needed the night to shine.
