Just a short oneshot about iggy and Ella. Review please

Max POV

It was obvious. Ella had wanted to leave for a long time. When she and Iggy started going out everything got weird. Nudge hated herself because Iggy didn't like her the way she liked him. Ella didn't want to put anyone through that. Fang felt awkward because he couldn't handle all the mixed emotions surrounding him, Angel didn't like hearing what everyone was thinking, and Gazzy didn't like that Ella was taking his best friend away. Ella left and went to go stay with my mom again.

Iggy woke up the next morning and flipped. Her stuff was all gone and so was she. Last night she had told me she would leave. I asked her stay but she didn't listen. Iggy started screaming at everyone.

I stood back and watched. He had to calm down before I talked or he would hate me forever. Tears started rolling down my cheeks when he knocked over a lamp.

"Shh." Fang hugged me from behind and rocked back and forth as we watched the horrible scene go on.

"Why did you do this to me it's all your fault!" Iggy screamed as he punched a hole through the sheetrock wall.

Suddenly he stopped, hung his head and leaned against the wall. I wiped the tears away and walked over to him. He was still sobbing quietly. I grabbed his face gently with both hands and made him look at me. Fang stood back not knowing what to do.

I used my thumbs to wipe the tears of his face; blind blue eyes looked back at me with anguish.

"Shh." He bent down and put his head on my shoulder. I rubbed his back soothingly we rocked back and forth for a long time.

"You knew." He whispered. It wasn't a question it was a statement. I nodded reluctantly.

Iggy became depressed after that. Nudge didn't know what to do with herself, she loved Iggy but it hurt more to see him in so much pain. Angel spent time trying to block out all his thoughts, Gazzy tried to cheer him up and Fang sat up all night with me in my room and talked. He read to me, sang, assured me, babbled about different topics, made sense of this messed up world.

The flock was so screwed up that I didn't even want to think about them anymore. That was hard because I loved them so much and it hurt all of us. We would still all smile and laugh like always but it was usually a sad smile.

We still visited Mom and Ella but Iggy stayed behind.

Gazzy was the one who changed everything. He said something that broke my heart. I was putting him to bed one night. He was lying on his side with his cheek pressed against the pillow. He looked up at me with big blue eyes and said,

"Max, I hate this. It's like our life turned into one big funeral."

I never ever wanted to hear that again. So I took charge and told everyone that we had to stop. I was strict with Iggy and told him to get over Ella. Eventually Nudge finally got through to him. It took a year after the incident for them to get together but it happened.

Ella married someone named Sean and life went on. We were a family again, but whenever we saw each other on weekends and holidays it was somewhere in the back of our minds. It never left but the sadness did.
