Hey! This is my first Lightis oneshot. Enjoy!
Title: Heart Rate Heaven
Characters: Lightning Farron (FF 13/13-2), Noctis Lucis Caelum (FF VERSUS 13)
Summary: He watched her heart rate, steadily on that monitor, the music keeping him going, and then it dropped.

Noctis would sit there.
Every single day, he sat there watching her body lay there, the reassuring beep of the heart rate monitor ringing in his ears.
His love, Lightning, was dormant. Her eyes were closed, her breathing even, the IV hooked up to her arm, dripping blood into her body, and her face looked ashen. What was even worse was that she was in a coma after being stabbed by Stella. Badly.
Stella. The blonde's name was a headache to his mind. In order to take his mind away, he used Lightning's MP3 Player, listening to the songs on it. His favorite song on it was the song 'Heaven'. The soulful lyrics were delivered out powerfully, and the story it told was comforting, even though it was sad.
He was listening to this song when Lightning's heart rate began to drop. He had ripped off his earphones and started screaming for a nurse, a doctor, ANYONE. His pleas were answered by Serah, who had become a great doctor over the course of time. She forced him to stand in the corner, and he watched as she shocked Lightning. The monitor kept dropping.
Then Noctis put back in the earphones, where Heaven was halfway through. He began to hum it, then softly sing. In his stupor, he didn't notice that Lightning's heart rate began to peak again. Serah had to come and pull him to Lightning's bedside. Noctis nearly took a double take as the song switched to Hello Hello. Lightning's eyes fluttered opened, and she smiled weakly at him.
"Light...?" he croaked.
"Hello, Hello...Noct." she whispered, gripping his hand, smiling softly.
